I guess this marketing trick is working well... I normally play such games on PS3, and now, playing ME2 on PC, I've realized I'm going to buy it for PS3 at some point. With all DLC.

Yeah... I was so jazzed about DA:O UE when I bought it... Now that I can't play any of the DLC because of the train wreck that is that title's DRM, I'm leery about buying any BioWare titles, regardless of DRM system. Mind you, it's not because of the DRM system itself, but of the apparently lack of giving a darn exhibited by anyone on the BioWare or EA end of things.

~sighs~ Sad, too... BioWare had just won over my loyalty away from Blizzard... I was hoping my money had found a new long-term spending outlet...

The Technical Support forum is literarily crowded with frustrated people over this issue. Those who logged into their profile from within the game automatically had all of their DLC unauthorized making it virtually impossible to load any saved file. We've been working (pro bono) on informing the multiple threads popping up in that forum. Many of us have spoken individually with EA Customer Service, and the answers have been vague, along with a random ETA. Those who have contacted them today receive a "Not-Known ETA". Some have received a $20 coupon, but frankly this is so frustrating. 

Knowing myself once (and if) the situation is solved I will definitely eagerly play, but it will seriously affect my future commitment to the franchise. (And this is from someone who up to this last Friday - when this started - defended Bioware with teeth and nails, being a hardcore fan of their works).

PS3 version all the DLC except Arrival is included with the game purchase. So they didn't get all DLC purchase money out of you.

I doubt you will find anyone going for this trade.

PS3 version includes all DLC free except Arrival.

PC version you have to almost fight just to get Firepower Pack DLC free. PC version includes less than half the DLC the PS3 version includes. But if you find someone going for that trade, I'd like to talk to that person about buying the Brooklyn Bridge from me.

Ayup ~smiles~ I've been right there with ya, hun... Just haven't been posting a lot over the weekend, until yesterday-ish. I've gone the whole troublesholting route, as well. I've had the unique problem of my DLC never working for me unless logged in. I have no idea of why it misbehaved, but it did. Hence, I broke mine by doing what the game prompts told me to. ~smirks~

Tech support has been abysmal, to me, AND no coupon or anything. I mean, sure, I was able to play Awakenings, but that lasted all of 2 days...started it friday afternoon, finished sunday with generous portions of forum surfing, FB surfing, watching movies, spending time with my honey, and all that jazz. ~dances~

At any rate, I know exactly what you mean. I spent years defending Blizzard, tooth and nail, all to have them drift further and further away from the types of things that got them my loyalty in the first place. I'm now on the hunt for a game company that I feel comfortable with pointing my spending genes to... It's a shame this put the brakes on all that. I had heard such great things about BioWare. It's a shame my first real experience with them has been so horrid...

I'm having a lot of problem just getting it to work. I downloaded EA download manager, i THINK I put in the correct code (having finally redeamed it from the website) and I THINK I put it in the right place, but nothing downloaded. (Under Redeem Game Code?) Nothing happened though, and it won't let me redeem it again.
Is this me being incompetent? Is it a bug? Is it something else? 72 hours were mentioned for -something- but I don't understand what.
'm really, really confused about how this works, I'd be really ver, very, very, very greatful if someone could just give me a bit of a dvice or information or anything like that? Just to know what's going on.

my thoughts exactly.I have one of the first ME 2 version so i guess i missed on quite some DLC's.Why don't they give you the choice:Complete game with or without DLC or DLC's only?

You know what:I even have bought the Original DA:O game and i bought the Ultimate Edition of same game last week?Does that not count for something?

I bought dragon age 2 for my Xbox360, its my first real endeavor into bioware's world, but I can honestly say Ive played through it twice so far and am partway into my third time through...in my opinion its a great game, Ive told everyone I can about it and am looking forward to more...

Did you buy the ME1 from AEDM as well? I'd like to know whether it includes Bring Down the Sky DLC, or was that DLC is included in Pinnacle Station DLC instead.  Because I didn't see BDtS anywhere in EADM.
Afaik, Pinnacle Station wasn't as good a DLC compared to BDtS. Would like to get BDtS and see whether we'd have a conclusion in ME3...
(Bioware... Please make a better conclusion for this DLC instead of just a news flash in ME2)

I would guess BDtS is included since it's now included in ME1 Platinum Hits edition on the 360. And I think that was better than Pinnacle Station that costs 5 times as much.

When I try to download the game, i get "the game installer cache directory is invalid. please select a different directory." Can anyone help me fix this problem? Thanks Bioware for ME 2. Haven't played it yet!

I have the Mass Effect 2 code, EA Download Manager open, I've entered the Mass Effect 2 Redeem code, and now it's asking me the product code...Is it the same code or is it the Dragon Age 2 code, or just simply where does this code exist? I'm confused. Can someone help?

After you put the mass effect 2 code into the redemption box it will ask what version you want to register with your ea account, then the reddem code box may come up again just x out of code redemption window. In the games screen you should see mass effect 2 as ready to download, hope this helps you out.

Bioware you should let people who bought DA2 without the BE a chance to get the BE DLC and get an online code for it also.. Cause to be honest the BE is not worth the 800 points compared to TEP which is less.

Has Bioware made the Firepower Pack automatically included with the free ME2 yet? They should have just called this "Our Marketing Ploy to Save ME3 from DA2's Bad Press".

I already own Mass Effect 2 on the Xbox 360, however I have been strongly considering getting ME 1 and 2 on the PC because of the overall better graphics and such, and now... I think the decision has been made for me. I'll more than likely be buying ME1 next month (can't afford it this month) and rebuy the DLC, I have no problem with that (although, if it was made free to us also, that would be great)

Hmm no Cerberus network. If you want the Cerberus network, it would probably work out the same (if not slightly cheaper) if you got Mass Effect 2 PC new (for about £10) with the Cerberus network code.

But if you're fine without this content then this is a cool offer.

Actually, when you enter your online code it gives you the code then right below that it has a link to your registered promotions page, where you can download all the Cerberus content... I just did myself, so you might double check your registered promotions page.

So let me get this right?

BE which ships with all new retail copies of DA2 should be free, and you want to be able to buy a pre-owned copy and get the loyalty bonus that folk got for buying it new?
