Uhm, BE should have come with ALL copies of DA2... so... wtf?
All new copies, yes. If someone bought it used then it's a crapshoot whether previous owner used it or not.

I entered my online pass code 4 days ago and I still received this message:
"We were unable to verify that you have activated your Online Pass. Online Pass verification may take up 72 hours to detect. Please make sure you have followed the 3 steps below. If you still receive this message 72 hours after following these steps please contact EA Customer Support."
Any ideas on how to solve this?
EDIT:Actually I have already activated online pass and been playing online since last month when the game was first released, yet it still asks me to wait for another 72 hours(?)!Why's that?!!
I had to get an EA rep to help me with this because it wouldn't work for me, unfortunately some of you may face this problem which I quoted from the rep:
Hope you kept your receipt. In order to provide you the Mass Effect 2, I request that you provide us a scan copy of the manual (where the code is printed) and of the purchase receipt. Also, it is requested that you put your signature on the documents before scanning it.

Bioware you should let people who bought DA2 without the BE a chance to get the BE DLC and get an online code for it also.. Cause to be honest the BE is not worth the 800 points compared to TEP which is less.
Be generous Bioware. And customers in turn will be generous back
So let me get this right?
BE which ships with all new retail copies of DA2 should be free, and you want to be able to buy a pre-owned copy and get the loyalty bonus that folk got for buying it new?
[Sarcasm] tell you what, just gimme your address and I'll buy and ship all the games you want from now on and you'll never have to worry about paying full price ever again [/sarcasm]
I sold a fancy copy of Lord of the Rings to this guy the other day, but he didn't preorder or buy it new, so I was forced to rip out the extra content. (The maps and the appendix)
He doesn't need it to read the book, and he didn't put more money into the system... so why should he get access to the content I paid for? I, the self-righteous loyal customer.. need to be classed differently from someone who buys the book used.
Btw, apart from the joking above.. wait for bargain bin.. don't buy used.

Errr what???
Why would I want to do that when I own it already, due to the fact I bought it online I didn't get any BE online code what so ever, and it was before release date also.
So Perhaps noticing I already registered DA2 and taking more time to use your brain and common sense before trying to be sarcastic you may have saved yourself from looking dumb.

I am guessing you were jokingly talking about me? Someone else who doesn't read fully or notice my status.
Just to make it clear for people who don't read fully etc..
I am talking about people who bought DA2 who did not get the BE online code, all be it from a retail copy (not 2nd hand but for some reason it didn't come with a BE code) or from digital sources, then get a chance to purchase the BE DLC and get an online code to trade in for ME2.
AGAIN, I am NOT talking about buying used copies.

I wasn't. I was suggesting that content shipped with a game should still be valid even if passed onto another user. Thus the , tearing out pages thing. There used to be a time when cd-keys were all you needed.

Shame I purchased BE earlier thinking it would give me an online code that way, so 800 BWP wasted >.<

Anyone know if there's a way to link ME2 to Steam if we got it for free from this celebration? I have it on my computer now, but Steam is telling me I still need to buy it.
Sorry, that's not possible. This key is specifically linked to the EA Download Manager. If you absolutely want it on Steam instead, you will have to buy it on Steam.
