I know i read a few posts where people were asking about the firepower pack for mass effect, if you look at the dragon age 2 website it states that if you ordered your copy of dragon age 2 from the EA Store you get the firepower pack as a bonus. I just got off a chat with EA support and they added the firepower pack for me because it wasnt listed in my promos like it should have been. hope this helps those EA store buyers that didnt get the pack as stated.

EA Download Manager dosen't run properly for me. I looked around and i'm not the only one who has this problem. So because we can't run EADM, we can't get the offer? Gah...

So the issue I am facing is - I used the EADM to download ME2. It downloaded completely, says "Ready To Install" - I click it - it says "Installing..." for about 2 seconds, and reverts back to "Ready To Install."

I already have the collectors edition retail copy of me2 for the pc so not getting the code for the free normal copy(not got any friends who might find it useful), I did however buy da2 through the ea store so will I be able to get the firepower pack added to my account?

I can't seem to find the way to contact live support on he ea website, can only find the contact us option which gives me a 'form' to fill for my question.

Is there a way that I can 'register' for this before the deadline if you know what I mean, but download it after the deadline? Cheers.

what's not working? you put your black emporium code in and get a mass effect 2 'cd key' out, you put the me2 code into eadm and d/l the game.

I tried ME/1 and didn't find it to my liking so I'm not sure I want to buy ME/2 or 3. The graphics and storyline don't appeal to me and I know I'm in a huge minority but I definately favor dragon age mostly for it's humor and wit. That being stated, it took two days for me to download Mass Effect 1 from the Microsoft Market store on my xbox 360 so that's done for me there. Any further purchases will be for an actual disc. I know there is a potential to lose out on bells and whistles, but it's that old saying come true for me .."a bird in the hand is worth .."

Sorry Sorry Sorry if this has been asked 50 bazillion times, there's 30 pages of posts here and its late... (I already own a ME2 retail copy and I think some form of SE or CE since there's pages of extra digital code goodies inside the case)

Can I gift the ME2 code to a friend who doesn't own it yet? And it's just a basic version with no bonus paid DLC right?

Thanks in advance for a simple answer ;)

banner guard you're not buying me2, you get it free if you buy da2 so nothing to loose(well unless you don't like playing games on you pc or your pc can't handle it).

dutchrend it has been asked a million times and has been answered once in another thread, you use your black emporium code to get the me2 code then just give the me2 code to your friend/family to use on eadm to d/l it. only thing is the Cerberus dlcs are added to your account(as according to the faq, the cerberus network dlc is added to the account the black emorium code is registered to) so you need to contact ea cs to see if they'll transfer that to whoever you give the me2 code to.

Fowler002: my PC died so bought a Mac Book Pro which is being used for nurse practitioner school. If the "free" ME 2 can be ported to my xbox account then perhaps, however as stated earlier, I didn't enjoy ME/1 so I have no immediate plans to do anything other than delete my saved DA II chars and restart until a potential DLC manifests. - Cheers!!

I don't think anyone will do this seeing as you haven't really registered your games to your account for a start off. Which makes it a little suspect if you indeed do have the game.

You get ME2 and Cerberus Network which gives some goodies :)

Namely these

Zaeed - The Price of Revenge (Cerberus Network)
Cerberus Weapon and Armor (Cerberus Network)
Normandy Crash Site (Cerberus Network)
Cerberus Arc Projector (Cerberus Network)
Firewalker Pack (Cerberus Network)

Well I've already got the Cerberus Network, and Zaeed / Normandy stuff that I specifically remember but I don't know if I have the cerberus weapon/armor + Arc Projector? + Firewalker pack??. I did a play through at release so whatever DLC was out with the Cerberus network at that time is what I've got.

I thought I saw someone say for the Firewalker Pack you had to purchase digital thru EA tho?? I have physical retail (and it's some sort of CE or SE since it has so many digital codes inside, I'm really not sure tbh tho)

1. If there is new DLC that I would get, I'll use it for myself. (I'll reinstall and see what I've got)
2. If I gifted it to a friend, but my account got any possible missing DLC, that would work even better.
3. If I find out I already have all DLC, gift it to a friend, and find a way to give them the DLC, that'd be best.

Argh my brain hurts. And again sorry sorry sorry for asking a repeat.. 30 pages does not agree with my eyes @ 4-5AM.

cheers

I guess you didn't read my reply as I didn't make it a point to quoate you directly, but as I said you can give the free me2 code to a friend. however the cerberus network dlc is linked to the account that bought da2, I asked the ea cs guy I was speaking to today(didn't contact cs about this but thought I'd ask while I 'had' him) about being able to transfer the cerberus network dlc to the friend but he said you can't do that but I guess if you asked nicely/found a nice cs person might be able to.

at the time of release there was only a couple of dlc available through the cerberus network, if you look at your registered game content you'll see all the cerberus network dlc listed there. you can just d/l the ones you don't already have(have you still got the ones you d/led or did you delete them/install a new os/reinstall current os/get a new pc?).

the ea store exclusive is the firepower pack not the firewalker pack(it's part of the cerberus network dlc), I was speaking to the ea cs about getting that added to my account as I bought da2 from the ea store but it's not shown up yet even tho the guy I spoke to said it's been added.

Ok I understand what you mean about gifting to a friend but they just won't have the Cerberus Network DLC. I'm pretty sure that whomever I gifted it to would just be happy to have the game, and would not mind purchasing the Cerberus Network for the DLC. :)

I re-installed the game (I uninstalled it after I beat it near release) and checked for DLC and didn't get much info so I went to my registered content page for ME2 and I have every Cerberus Network DLC that you mentioned there. I may check a couple of the DLCs out that I don't remember playing, but with so many new games out atm I doubt I'll get that deep in to it.

So it looks like I will just gift it out to a soon-to-be happy friend. Hopefully the issues I was seeing where this messed up your login ability for Dragon Age 2 are resolved and it will go smoothly. Thanks so much for your information. Happy Gaming!

cheers,
dutch

I am sorry, but I have not read the 30 pages in this thread.

I have bought 2 copies of Dragon age 2. One for PC and one X360. Do I get 2 download codes for Mass effect 2? I try to get a second code, but can't.

as long as you've got 2 black emporium codes(and have both registered to you account) then you should be able to get 2 me2 codes.

well the firepower pack hasn't shown up so tried ea cs chat again, the added 2000 bioware points to my account but no mention of the firepower pack.

ea isn't going to try to charge me for the 2000 points that the cs guy added to my account? as I've used them for arrival, shadow broker and kasumi dlcs, I've had the game since release but never bought any of the dlcs.

Cool offer, but I doubt my PC can handle it.  It would be nice if you offered the firepower pack for 360 though.

Downloaded black emporium, started the game as it told me to. Then went to the offer page and tried to put in the black emporium code, the one where it says it can take up to 72 hours and it keeps coming back saying they were unable to verify. After 72 hours i tried to say lost my code and it still gave me the same error. We were unable to verify that you have activated your Online Pass. Online Pass verification may take up 72 hours to detect. Please make sure you have followed the 3 steps below. I have unlocked Mass Effect 2 and it is ready to download, but i don't want to download it at this time. Do i have to download it before the 30th, or will it stay in my unlocked downloads until i choose to download it?
