Thanks, Bioware. I've heard good things about it, never got around to playing it though.

Yay. BioWare found a way to make me try computer gaming and get setup with their DL Manager. I am sure this is some sort of plot ;)

Anyway, I redeemed the Black Emporium code just fine, and it gave me a promo code for ME2. I got the DL manager and entered the code at checkout. However, it keeps telling me I have an 'invalid code'. I've checked like a dozen times to make sure I copy/pasta'd it right. I read through this thread, but no one else seems to have this exact issue. Anyone have any suggestions for me?

I gave the code to my friend but he can't activate it. Is there anyway to formally gift it through EADM?

A very generous offer but I think the majority of people here own both games anyway. Since ME2 is much, much better than DA2, it is a great incentive for people to buy DA2 and get a superior game for nothing.

Closer to 3/4ths of a superior game, since they don't include any of the Cerberus content with the deal. This requires you to purchase an additional code, which runs around $15. The full game runs around $20, and includes the code.

Not quite so generous once you really look at it.

Yeah, I was hoping that this offer would include most of the dlc or at least the Cereberus Network. Its not really worth the 11+ GB of space without the "good stuff."

Thank you! I'm not a fan of sci-fi and never came around to buy Mass Effect so I'm happy I can give it a go - just need to finish my 4th DAII playthrough :P

So... transparent attempt to appease DA2 haters while also hooking them on Bioware's other series which conveniently has a sequel due this year? Not to mention enough downloaded content to buy the game three times over?

I can't possibly be the only one here cynical enough to see it this way. :bandit:

If we already own ME2 are we able to give the code to a friend for them to download, or is it tied in to our EA account?

well, I gave mine to a friend of mine, and at the moment she is downloading ME2 through EADM with her own account, so yes, you can appearantly give it to friends :)

I was entering my code about the time the web page got locked up. 3 attempts, and finally it said they took the site down for maintenence. Now, when I try to enter my online pass, it tells me it cannot verify that I have ever used my online pass. I've talked with friends on the xbox, who are currently as we speak getting it to work for them.
Sooooo, what I did, was hit some kind of options in the customer support of EA.com, where they actually call you back on the phone. It took a couple of minutes explaining, but she finally found the issue and the fact they are getting swamped because the server crashed handing out coupon codes. If it crashed while you were entering it, you may have lost the ability to get it. But, she fixed it. put the game on the EA download manager for me, and also gave me a $20 coupon for a future purchase. game can be downloaded and installed until 2099, 5 times a week she said, so for once I cheer EA support.

Very cool Bioware. I have already played the hell out of ME2, but a friend of mine hasn't yet, so now he should be able to give it a shot.

So I entered my code correctly and everything after getting the ea downloader, and it shows up on the games I own, but whenever I try to download it nothing happens. It stays at 0%, and says 0 KB/sec. I'd appreciate it if someone could help me with this.

Cool. I am another one who is not a huge fan of sci-fi but I certainly won't say no to a free game.

I thought "Woo, free game" until I downloaded it and it tells me to INSERT A DISC. There's no other way to re-register the CD key either. Does anyone have any advice? I can't get EA to call me as it's 00:47 here in England...
