Well, a preview of the first 15 minutes of Episode One has just hit the net. And it's awesome:)

(SPOILERS WARNING)

I'm quite impressed by how they adapted the Prologue. It's just as creepy and downright frightening as it was when I first read the book. And I'm glad we don't get a full glimpse of the White Walkers ( I also aprrove of the name change, Others sounds too much like Lost), makes them even more chilling.  Also liked how they conveyed how massive the scale of the Wall is. It looks breathtaking.

Cut to Winterfell, another winner in my eyes. The place looks dreary , and befits the grim nature of the North. Despite that, there is warmth to be found among the Stark family. All of them look and act superbly, particularly Sean Bean as Eddard. I know a few minutes is not much of measuring to how good an actor's performance is, but Bean looks and sounds natural in the role as if it were made for him.

So color me very impressed by how HBO has adapted the first few pages of George RR Martin's novel. If the quality of the remaining episode and succeeding ones match or surpass, we're in for a treat. A Song of Ice and Fire looks to be great.

I was late to work this morning due to watching last nights episode before jumping into the shower. Totally worth it. Like Sealgloom said, I think was the best episode of Season 2 so far.

Despite the changes made, this was by far my favorite episode of Season 2. That's most likely due to the fact that George R.R. Martin wrote this one himself and he clearly understands what needs to be done to the script in order to bring the portrayal of the battle to TV's.
