Warning, warning. Slight Spoiler related question below, read at own risk.

So yeah, I've seen a few times that lore has been changed, but from folks that have read the books, I'm wandering if the Swamp kids will show up to help the Stark Boys escape. If thats taken out...man thats just a huge part of future works just gone, plus I can't wait for the 6th book to see how some issues in that reguard work out. But I mean I just like caught up with my DVR and seen only the last 4-5 eps of this season, have those kids showed up at all? If no that just stinks.

Meh doesn't matter, the show has already screwed up big time. A character (no not Ned) that was killed in the first season, actully is a POV character and important to the story in book 6. So yeah, *slow claps for HBO* I guess it never was brought up to go "Hey should we ask the guy who wrote this if we can kill so and so?"

Hmm... can't recall who this is. Someone Daenerys related, maybe.

Mhogo or whatever his name was? Meh, they can always use another Dorthraki. The blood riders didn't have an individual personality so much in the books.

No its Mongo, or however his name is wrote. He's the one. All I'm saying is, yes most of what has happend is little, but its mounting up.

Little snow here, little snow there. Sooner or later your going to be burried in it. I'm just concerned that in the end game it will be changed so much that people will pick up the books and go......wait that didn't happen! Then his publishers will push for some retcon crap.

Mago is the one they killed off in season 1 that GRRM told the directors would be an important character in The Winds of Winter. He's the one whose tongue Khal Drogo ripped out by his throat.

edit- LOL, we've come up with about 5 different guttural names for the guy.  I finally found an interview with GRRM that mentions him.

I just... who cares? Mago played no role whatsoever in books 1-5. He was just blood rider #3 or whatever. So if they get that far in the TV series, you take whichever blood rider is still standing and christen him as the New Important Dorthraki Guy.

Point is its snowballing, if it even makes it to the next book mark my words it will be same crap, till it reach the point its nothing like the books at all. In fact I think I'll look at it as a show on its own, with nothing to do with the books at all. Nothing to rage or worry about then, now is there?

Stannis' scene was probably my favorite of the episode. The actor did a perfect job of telling the story of that siege, really brought the whole scene to life.

Yeah I liked the Stannis scene the most. Funny enough I just can't draw the pcture between him and the one in the book. Honestly I like this one more lulz.

Me too.  :)  I did eventually come to see Stannis as kind of awesome in the books, too, though.  It just took longer.

Best Stannis line of last episode... "The cats.  I don't like cats.  So, fine."  LOL  So deadpan about having to eat kitty fricasee.

TV Stannis matched up pretty well with how I pictured Book Stannis, minus the bald head and beard. His speech last episode sums up his situation pretty well- he's a guy that does everything he's told to do, plays by the rules and then when he has every right to the throne, he's robbed. And even though he doesn't even really want  the throne, its his by rights and he'll do his duty to take the the throne.

But I think Stephen Dillane has done a great job with whats been given to him. He has the little mannerisms that speak louder than words- like in the first episode you can tell he's all awkward during the showy Lightbringer ceremony when he almost walks off without his wife and kind of does the awkward pause and motion for her. Or just his delivery of his lines about the cats and dogs- the guy is so tightly wound that he barely breathes between his lines.

I've been very impressed with Stannis, Davos and Mel this season. Just wish they had some more screen time. Hopefully we see some of Lightbringer in action at the Blackwater...

Also, a girl demands an international speak like Jaqen day.

A girl seconds this.

A man reads, and a man supports girls.

lolz yesterday was a day as good as any. I don't think they worked out how it's going to work with people with the same noun. Adjectives? A curious girl wonders.

A Prince who happens to be a hopeless romantic would support the Speak like Jaqen day that a girl demanded as it may assist in his finding a Princess.

This actor is so perfectly cast for Roose.  *shivers*

Apparently we're not the only ones complaining about changes from the book.  Writer Bryan Cogman left Twitter because he was getting so much harassment.  He was the only writer on there.
