So yeah, I've seen a few times that lore has been changed, but from folks that have read the books, I'm wandering if the Swamp kids will show up to help the Stark Boys escape. If thats taken out...man thats just a huge part of future works just gone, plus I can't wait for the 6th book to see how some issues in that reguard work out. But I mean I just like caught up with my DVR and seen only the last 4-5 eps of this season, have those kids showed up at all? If no that just stinks.

A character that was killed in the first season, actully is a POV character and important to the story in book 6.

Little snow here, little snow there. Sooner or later your going to be burried in it. I'm just concerned that in the end game it will be changed so much that people will pick up the books and go......wait that didn't happen! Then his publishers will push for some retcon crap.

edit- LOL, we've come up with about 5 different guttural names for the guy. I finally found an interview with GRRM that mentions him.

Point is its snowballing, if it even makes it to the next book mark my words it will be same crap, till it reach the point its nothing like the books at all. In fact I think I'll look at it as a show on its own, with nothing to do with the books at all. Nothing to rage or worry about then, now is there?Addai67 wrote...
I just... who cares? Mago played no role whatsoever in books 1-5. He was just blood rider #3 or whatever. So if they get that far in the TV series, you take whichever blood rider is still standing and christen him as the New Important Dorthraki Guy.

Stannis' scene was probably my favorite of the episode. The actor did a perfect job of telling the story of that siege, really brought the whole scene to life.

Yeah I liked the Stannis scene the most. Funny enough I just can't draw the pcture between him and the one in the book. Honestly I like this one more lulz.
Best Stannis line of last episode... "The cats. I don't like cats. So, fine." LOL So deadpan about having to eat kitty fricasee.

But I think Stephen Dillane has done a great job with whats been given to him. He has the little mannerisms that speak louder than words- like in the first episode you can tell he's all awkward during the showy Lightbringer ceremony when he almost walks off without his wife and kind of does the awkward pause and motion for her. Or just his delivery of his lines about the cats and dogs- the guy is so tightly wound that he barely breathes between his lines.
I've been very impressed with Stannis, Davos and Mel this season. Just wish they had some more screen time. Hopefully we see some of Lightbringer in action at the Blackwater...

This actor is so perfectly cast for Roose. *shivers*

Apparently we're not the only ones complaining about changes from the book. Writer Bryan Cogman left Twitter because he was getting so much harassment. He was the only writer on there.
