I was
listening to the soundtrack on youtube and I think they might have a
different version of Stannis' theme in a different song, can't remember.
Nah thats not the one, although that is a very cool track

Maybe I should start placing my money
on Stannis. With Tyrion in charge of the defense, I'm not certain that
he will take King's Landing with this attack, but I doubt Stannis will
just turn around and go home.

Stannis is like the Terminator, he never gives up and just keeps coming back for more until he's dead. If or when he fails a battle but survives you can bet he'll be back for another.
At the end of Asoiaf I hope Stannis is King, but I have a bad feeling he wont be.. I just hope that when the Targaryen's invade they fail and it results in the house being erased from existance this time and not with its survival from fleeing to the free cities like last time
Edited to try and keep clear of spoilers

I guess its the Tv show's Dany is negatively influencing my opinion of book Dany a bit, with her inability to shut up about fire, blood, burning etc etc alot of her lines sound the same. But also the fact that Dany's power lays solely with her dragons and without them she's nothing. I guess Im like how Davo's said Stannis's men would be with him having claimed the throne through solely Melissandre's magic, it just sort of feels like they havn't earned it and shouldn't be there. Also her naivety still seems very much evident from back when she was under Viserys's thumb. from her rejection of Quentyn Martell's offer (I dont see how a Meeren noble can be more beneficial an ally than Dorne)
To go into better detail though about my problems with the Targaryen's involves major ADWD spoilers though which I dont know if I should post here

I do wonder what people find annoying about Danny in books. True she's a teenager and she does act her age at many points, but she's does show wisdom, cunning and intelligence as well. I love how she dealt with her foes in Storm of Swords.

I'm hoping they'll get it right. In most interviews and such that moment seems to be one of the big reasons they wanted to make the show in the first place.

You mean that attitude of hers whenpeople trying to lecture her? It's important for a leader to be considered above those she commands, if she isn't then her people won't respect her as a leader.

My issue with Dany in the show is more how one note she comes across. That, and how she really doesn't have a very strong supporting cast around her like most of the other characters do. Its pretty much her and Jorah and nobody else. I don't think anybody really cares about Xaro or Pyat Pree beyond their role in the plot, which is flimsy anyway. Those guys are certainly no substitute for the likes of Viserys or Drogo from last season, who were often pretty entertaining if nothing else. Its like pretty much every scene she is in, you can be guaranteed she'll make at least one reference to being mother of dragons or calling them her children or screaming "FIYAAAAA AND BLUUUD!"
Hopefully, once they get to ASoS, she'll have some more interesting characters around her and she can do a bit more. Book Dany is a whole other matter, as far as I'm concerned.
Oh and it appears they are going to cast Vargo Hoat for season 3! "Kingthlayer!"

Dany, like Brockololly says, is a one-trick pony, every time she shows up she's just screaming or demanding things, or saying "FIRE AND BLOOOOD I WILL TAKE WHAT IS MINEEEE, I'M THE RIGHTFUL QUEEEEEN", it's like she's morphing into Viserys.
And Jon...is just stupid. I don't think I'm the only one who would have liked D&D to stick with the book storyline, where Qhorin personally chose Jon, and there are wolf dreams and the wildling who is now in the body of an eagle. The doomed escape of the Night's watch was really exciting in the book. TV Jon is the direct responsible of the death of his companions and the fact that Qhorin has been captured (because they were looking for Jon after he got lost with Ygritte, who is really, really annoying).
Anyways. I'm quite happy with the second season so far, even though I hate the way they treated Dany and Jon. I can understand the changes to Dany's storyline...but what was the poing of changing Jon's? I don't get it.
Tomorrow...Blackwater! I'm really excited.

YOU KNOW NOTHING JON SNOW.
As for show Daenerys they could have made her bloodridders interesting characters, or her servants but they choose not to.
