God, Theon and Shae ( fortunately tyrion is awesome ) are so awful in the show. We see them too much. Please let's kill them quickly. T__T

I laughed and I was so pleased when they've shut Theon's mouth...

I don't like Ros, but actually I liked the moment with Varys who is such a badass, Stannis too.

On the opposite, I like definitely what they have done with Danaerys in the show. (  I'm re-reading all the events with danaerys in the books now lol. Don't know why the first time I thought she was borring. But it doesn't matter anymore. I love her. ^_^ )

Otherwise, I might be the only one, but as someone who's read the books, I don't care if the serie TV follows them accurately. I just want to enjoy the show as a show and that's it. I don't need everything to be exactly the same. It is obvious that many things will change, especially in the next seasons, at least for me.

There are simply too many characters, too many important events whether they are small or big in the books. On the opposite,  there are only 10 episodes for the show, there is a budget, that's just impossible.

I can simply re-read my books if I really need to enjoy the " true " GoT. Can't wait for the next season. :D

If they can't even keep the basic plot, or streatch the books out to copy, say two seasons a book, then maybe they shouldn't even have a show.

GRRM doesn't have a problem with the show doing what its doing. He just points out that they'll have to be careful about the snowball effect.

Yes and no. He has more of an advisor role. If they wanted they could bring ned back from the dead and he can't do crap about it.

Good to know, that is exactly my thoughts. They can interpret some events and adapt to the TV, because they must sometimes, okay. ( for example, they can't hire thousand of actors, so they need to give bigger role to some characters, like for example Petyr ) But beware, do not kill too many characters that are still alive in the books and could have an important role in the future.

Okay. So long the show is good on TV and GRRM doesn't have any problem, I'm fine. If one day, I hear that he is pissed of because of what they do, yeah, I could change my mind. ( and also if it's getting bad as well according to me. But it isn't, at least for me, to each its opinion. :) )

How about the guy they left behind I thought he was mega important. Did he leave him there for him?

Do you mean Maester Luwin?  He got speared through, and Osha finished him off at the weirwood by his own request.  He was the maester (like a priest) under the Starks and Theon kept him around, probably out of sentimentality, but the other Ironborn looked on him as a Stark servant and not worth their time.  Ironborn kind of roll that way.

I'll lay it out for people who are really confused and don't mind the spoilers...

Theon's men betrayed him, and Roose Bolton's bastard son (Ramsay) is betraying the Starks.  He's the one who burned Winterfell, not Theon's men.  Ramsay hasn't been cast in the series yet, so they couldn't show him in action.

I was somewhat surprised about how Tywin allowed Tyrion to get screwed over like that. I thought he was actually warming up to his son when he made him Hand of the King in the first place.

Tywin is all about getting the job done, and he doesn't care about his children except insofar as they bring prestige to House Lannister. We had this argument several pages back and some disagree with that latter bit, but that's how I see him.  His interaction with Arya in the show made him seem like something he's not.

Tyrion did his job, but he's still mistrusted and even hated in the city for being a dwarf and because people think he was behind Joffrey's actions.

The White Walkers look miniature versions of the giants from Skyrim.

This episode was meh after the epic Blackwater.
I loved the Stannis scene was quite moved when he regretted killing Renly.

Don't know about people's opinions. But I agree with you. The same thought for me.
Otherwise, I remember the first time when I've heard that there would be a GoT on TV.  I thought it was foolish.  I didn't believe it was possible to make something good. Because there were really really really too many characters and events in the books and too many points of view. Too complicated for that format and for those who didn"t read the books. I 'm glad I was wrong lol.

When it was released, I didn't even try to watch it, convinced it was bad. It is only when I've learnt it was one of the most watched series in the U.S, I've tried, a bit shocked. After a few episodes, I've changed my mind.

I enjoyed the finale. No complaints really, except for the Zaro/Doreah part. It felt out of character for Dany.

What do you mean " felt out of character " ?

If I remember well, Dany in the books has no mercy for those who betray her and that's exactly what they showed. The Witch was her first lesson and she learned well. I won't talk about what happens after, since it is a non spoiler topic.

Loved the finale especially every part with Dany. She's becoming one of my favorite characters along with Stannis (such a badass), Jon Snow, Tyrion, Bronn, The Hound, Davos, Arya, and Robb Stark. Plus those dragons are gonna be badass when they're fully grown.

I'm just surprised what they did with Doreah.

In the books she died in The Red Waste, loyal to Dany to the end.

In the show, she...well, you know.

Would've been better if Xaro stole her or something and forced her into his service.

Then have Dany and Co. come to the incidental rescue when they go after Xaro.

Xaro still gets locked in his vault, Doreah survives, returns for Season 3, and then lesbian fingering.

But nope.

Perhaps they're killing off characters so they don't have to pay them for returning, I don't know.

They did bring Drogo back at the very least. -fanservice

That was my first thoughts. I do not forget that it is first a show with a budget, and that this budget is always in the minds. And I do wonder when some minors actors couldn't be anymore a part of this show, and how they will do to manage this.

Yeah, that's why I view this show as a variation on the actual ASOIAF story.
