I'm hoping to see a lot of Stannis next season, he's become one of my favorite characters.
The TV version of Stannis is totally awesome.

There is one particular moment in A Storm of Swords involving Stannis that I can't wait to see on screen, assuming they don't cut it down in scale.
Also, saw this today and chuckled:

Robb's marriage for one thing. Thanks for the link Brock, good read.
I do disagree with the writter about Catelyn and Robb not being stupid in the books, they were very much so. At least in the show Catelyn freed Jaime partly because he was about to be killed that night whereas in the books she just freed him.
As for Robb....well I don't know which is more of an idiot, show Robb who feel in love with her and decided to marry her knowing full well what the consequences were, and not even having her in the show as being from Westeros or book Robb who had sex with a woman treating his wounds as he found out Bran and Rickon had died....and marrying her. The woman being of a very old and noble blood line.
"Catelyn Stark is not a bimbo. Some of her actions are deeply disturbing, no doubt, but they all came out of desperation, or fear, or rage, or grief, not from the stupidity."
Seriously Costin, learn to understand the bloody difference.

Ahh, yes, good old timely GRRM. You see, what happened was, he wrote this HUGE book, and of course he had some side projects going on, and all that took him so long to do, and of course the book was SO HUGE it needed to be split into two (Feast and Dance) so when Feast came out he had several hundred pages all set for Dance, which was set to be released a year later.
But, well, see, he trashed all that previously written stuff because he didn't like it anymore, and he had a few side projects, and Dragon-Con and such to go to, that Dance took longer than expected, and became so HUGE that some material had to be put off to the next book.
But, well, you know - it's good that he currently has all that material written for Winds of Winter, and that he doesn't have any time consuming side projects, like a TV show or something . . .
Oh, wait . . . .
Yea, see you in 2016, Winds of Winter . . .

If it takes him till 2020 to write the next one I fear we will never see the end of A song of fire and ice.

I wouldn't be surprised at all.
The ONLY thing I think which can prompt him to actually spend significant time writing would be pressure from HBO. And given that they're likely to start splitting books into two season, which of course will get easier as the extra characters and changed plots require resolution . . .well, even that pressure may not do anything for a while, since he likely has about a 5 year cushion at this point.

There is no bloody difference.
Motivation does not in any way change how an action is. Jaime is still a kingslayer despite him killing Aerys to save King's Landing. Jon Snow is still a traitor by the end of the fifth book despite his reasons. Tyion is still a kinslayer the events of the third book. Sam is still an oathbreaker for Gilly and Catelyn is still an idiot for what she did.
So how about you stop trying to sugarcoat Catelyn's actions. They were what they were, just like Jaime's, Tyrion's, Daenerys's ( and yes she did make stupid choices ) etc.
As Knight said, being human doesn't mean you can't be stupid. We invented the bloody concept after all. If you want to prove Catelyn's actions were not idiotic then don't use her motivation as an argument, since it's irrelevant.

In a matter completely unrelated to revenge, are there any movies you plan on watching?
The upcoming movie "The Hobbit" sure does look sweet, have you read the book?

In regards to the Hobbit, looking forward to it. I feel that Jackson is the only competent director in regards to book> movie translation nowadays. Yes I know he made changes, some of them bad, some good I feel but ultimately he did stay faithful to what LOTR was whereas the producers of GoT are pissing on everything that Song of ice and Fire is.
