I'm hoping that ratings don't drop dramatically during those 3 or so seasons and the show gets axed - that would be a shame - they are rather uneventful books compared to the first 3, and also represent a large shift in tone and overall plot direction, I find.

^I want that burned into the memories of everyone watching the duel between The Mountain That Rides and The Red Viper.
There is another moment where people's reactions should be amusing.

I hope this season (or season 4) they actually show Stannis with Lightbringer doing the whole magic sword thing. That was missing in Blackwater.
I suppose it could have been a budget issue with Blackwater, but was it mentioned in the books as being lit up during that battle? Then again, Stannis wasn't even fighting during Blackwater in the books.
You probably could justify Lightbringer not being lit up dring Blackwater due to Melisandre not being there though too.
Anyway, HBO released a new slightly longer version of the season 3 trailer yesterday.
A bear there was, a bear! A Bear! All black and brown and covered with hair!

How much you wanna bet there's gonna be Dragon Age fans going, "WHAT!? THEY STOLE THAT NAME FROM DRAGON AGE AWAKENINGS! THATS ANDER'S CAT'S NAME!"
I'm gonna have so much fun breaking that down.

I'm a bit worried about this too, TBH. The material from FFC is particularly slow; hopefully they can axe some of the filler stuff in the Cersei chapters, which make up a lot of the book.

Yes it was pretty good. I'm not going to get anything done on Sunday nights for a while. Good thing we've got TiVo.TheBlackBaron wrote...

I'm watching that at the moment it seems good so far. Something I'd watch again when it's on.

Also-
The Game of Thrones Iron Throne Blonde Ale is being shipped to places that sell Ommegang beers and other alcoholic beverages, so if you find it, try it. I don't think its gonna be sold until the 31st, but I'm not sure. Anyway, 750ml for $8.50 I believe is the price.

Abbey's nice and easy, 3 Philosophers is basically akin to Guinness except with a higher alcohol content. Thats all I've tried so far.
Being that they are so different and judging from what people have said, I think the Iron Throne Blonde Ale is definitely gonna be similar to Ommegang's lighter stuff, definitely not the 3 Philosophers that I'm drinking now.

He was like, "Who was saying they want Joffrey dead?" (he's currently a little distracted cooking dinner)
My response- "Bit of a wide net don't you think?"
We lol'd.
