- No Ghost? C'mon, we got Summer, Lady and Nymeria. Why no love for the most prominent direwolf in the series? Hope when Jon gets to the Wall we see more of the albino direwolf.

We're definitely going to see Ghost.  They probably wanted to space out some of the direwolf awesomeness, since this ep was more about Summer, Lady and Nymeria.  Once Jon is off on his own, then Ghost can shine.

Looking forward to Sam making his appearance!

How old is Jaime Lannister supposed to be? 38-40?

Well he was born at 266 AL.
That's "After (Aegon Targaryen's) Landing", which means he is roughly 32 years old at the start of Game of Thrones.

But didn't he kill the previous King? He must have been pretty young then.

I will cry like a child when they introduce Littlefinger next episode. Jesus Christ, he is the best thing about the entire book series and his casting was 110% correct.

I thought I was the only one who felt creeped out by this actor.

Seriously, the kid would make an excellent Damien if someone produces yet another (terrible) remake of Omen.

They give too few details.  Did the guy yell "the things I do for love" as he pitched him out?

Hahaha:lol:

Good news with respect to A Dance With Dragons too as it would seem GRR Martin is truly, completely done with the book.

Supposed to be a July 12 release date.

I hate to be "that guy", but I'll believe it when I see the book on the shelf.

I went out last night and bought the book because I enjoyed the first couple episodes so much. I'm barely into it, but the series seems to follow the book quite closely.

It's early, but they have been very true to the spirit, if not the letter, of the book.  Minor changes only, and maybe 1 or 2 chapters taken out of order.

I'm very impessed so far.

I have to agree.

Lena Headey (Cersei) and Harry Lloyd (Viserys) were two casting choices quite different from how I envisioned the characters, but these actors brought some AWESOME(BUTTON)  to those roles. I'm loving their take on these characters.

Yes!  I had forgotten that Tyrion slaps Joffrey that early, but went back and found that that scene and the breakfast scene with the Lannisters afterward was almost word for word.  They're doing a great job.

On that note

And very excited that ADWD has gone gold!

That video has just brightened up my morning. Haven't seen the first two episodes yet.

The DwD news is great. I was beginning to worry as GRRM's progress updates continued as if no release date had been announced.

Just had a funny realization today. Jaime Lannister is played by Danish actor Nikolaj Costau Walder.

Who was the last Danish actor to be given a prominent role in a fantasy adaptation (albeit a movie not a tv series)? Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn in The Lord of the Rings:)

ARGH! How could I have forgotten so many details of the Red Wedding? Book went flying as I screamed "NOOOOOOO!!!" I think I intentionally forgot. I was left a quivering mess, again. *shakes fist at George*

Great news on ADWD!! My pre-order is in.

Ah, the Red Wedding.  Besides the end shocker in Game of Thrones, no other scene in the books took me by quite a surprise.

Here is to hoping the Frey's end up in the same boat as the majority of the Lannister's seem to be in currently.

Finn Jones, who's playing the Knight of Flowers in the series, tweeted something like "I had to look up the Red Wedding to see what everyone was talking about- OMFG." Heh.

Just when you think GRRM has stopped being cruel for a while...
