That one looks pretty great. The production values look great, especially the sense of scale.
You can definitely see some key scenes from the books there too. And a certain scene that was implied in the books but never shown...

It's two weeks and one day, damn Sky for their lateness!
Oh well, I think I'm going to have a GoT themed party before hand to get in the mood.

Rewatching episodes, anyone?
I rewatched Blackwater yesterday.

I'm currently rewatching the entire second season and I'm currently on Episode 6. After that I may rewatch the last episode of season 2 just before the new one airs.
Otherwise, I'm all prep'd and ready, I've just finished Storm so I'll have a good idea of comparison...

So how'd you like the novel?
Definitely the most intense one of the series thus far

I agree, probably my favourite so far joint with AGoT. I'm reading AFfC at the moment but it's dragging a bit. Apparently because Feast and ADwD are concurrent, they will merge the two into several seasons after season 4.

I've been reading a week and I'm only up to the first Sam chapter, so yeah sloooowww.
Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how they clear up the whole Sack of Winterfell fiasco and introduce Ramsay Snow into the equation.
Plus, Burn Gorman is cast for the 3rd season but his role isn't listed. I wonder...

I convinced a friend to start watching the show and he became a fan instantly(as of the beheading of the Night's Watch member in the first episode).
He's at the part where Viserys got...well, you know. And Ned's leg...yeah.

Yeah, my younger brother's been reading the books recently, and Feast took him about twice as long as any of the rest of them did. He kept asking me if anything important would happen in the book, and I had to tell him "not really".LPPrince wrote...

I'm currently in the middle of it and more things are not happening (like that plot in Dorne) than actually happening.

Feast is like Lord of the Rings if the walk to Mordor was just a walk down a straight line with a bunch of people talking.
Maybe some tripping on pebbles.

With Brienne occasionally cutting some people.
It's a tad hard to keep track of all of the new characters in this one. Too many Ironborn!

My guess or hope is that they end up still doing some of the Reek duplicity that they left out of Season 2. Have "Reek" as a prisoner with Theon maybe and "help" Theon try to escape only to reveal his true identity. I'm actually pretty curious how they deal with that stuff. Unlike many changes from the book to the show, I'm ok with them showing more of that stuff, as opposed to leaving it to implied and offscreen like the books.

Its mostly setup. The pace definitely slows in Feast and combined with the lack of certain old characters like Jon or Tyrion or Dany, the pace can really kill that book. So once you kind of come to terms with the fact that you're not going to have big ASoS type moments, its a decent enough world building sort of book. FWIW, I thought ADwD gets things back on track, maybe minus most of Dany's plot and some of Tyrion's which is boring. But by the end of ADwD, you can definitely (hopefully) see that **** is about to start hitting the fan once again. And the stories that take place in the North in ADwD is some of the best stuff in the series, IMO.

Some good scenes with Ygritte and I won't even need real porn anymore.
On a serious note, I love that they've actually made an army out of the Unsullied. I was afraid we'd get nothing more than a few extras. Some good camera angles, and you can make 300 look like 10 thousand.
I wonder if LOTR's tech will ever be used for ASOIAF's larger battles.
