According to TV Tropes, the episode George is writing is #7, "The Bear and the Maiden Fair", which I guess must have been renamed from "Autumn Storms". Do we know any others?

All but one of the episode names leaked a while ago.

1: "Valar Dohaeris"
2: "Dark Wings, Dark Words"
3: "Walk of Punishment"
4: "And Now His Watch is Ended"
5: "Kissed by Fire"
6: "The Climb"
7: "The Bear and the Maiden Fair"
9: "The Rains of Castamere"
10: "Mhysa"

Two thoughts:

I like the continuity they've got going over the hiatus. Season 2 ended with "Valar Morghulis", Season 3 begins with "Valar Dohaeris". It's a nice touch.

And I guess they will be putting, ahem, -that event- in the 9th episode, following the pattern established. I sort of expected that, but I was also kind of hoping they might choose to end the season with it instead, with a smash cut to black right after Catelyn gets her throat cut. Be a great way to freak the viewers out.

Nah, season 4 will have enough other stuff like the Purple wedding, and the stuff at the Wall, plus maybe some stuff from AFfC and ADwD.

Ordered the books yesterday from Amazon. I'm going to try and finish all of the books before the season finishes.

Aha, no way I could finish them all BEFORE the season begins. At least not with all the schoolwork I have. But I'll be reading them simultaneously with the season progressing. I should be able to finish them all by the end of summer.

I hope it won't have Feast for Crows and Dance of Dragons stuff, though it might have some I suppose. "Shrug"

That said the rage the fanboys and fangirls will have will be mother****ing epic to watch, their tears will be delicious.

It will put the Ned Stark thing to bloody shame I think.

I guess it depends on how fast they get through ASoS for season 4... I'm thinking the climax of the events at the Wall with a certain you know who showing up to save the day might be cool. Make that a episode a big battle focused episode like Blackwater maybe?

Other than THAT in Episode 9 when a million fans will collectivelly soil themselves in horror, what I am most looking foward to is actually this:


Unfortunately, I doubt even HBO can truly bring home the kind of physical and psychological torture this man is going to endure.

Yes! I'm actually curious to see how they handle this part considering its all off screen in the books.

I like how the books handle it, what with this character's fate being left to rumors until you get to ADwD when you see this person reappear. But for the sake of TV, I can totally understand why they'd want to show it onscreen. I'm actually pretty much ok with this sort of change, especially since they could likely still work the 'Reek' deception angle in from A Clash of Kings, if they wanted to.
