Nuh uh, the part where Danny makes her army kill everyone was badass.

After that line about his real father losing his head in King's Landing, I think I'll forever see Theon differently.

Like, if I was to go back and reread A Game of Thrones, I'd see him as a Stark...or closer to.

Between the opening with Jaime, Theon's "My real father died in Kings landing" and The old bears out, that was one sad ass episode for sho'.

The episode has its fair share of sad, but it also has its fair share of badass to equalize things.

For example, the look on The Hound's face when he sees Beric Dondarrion, especially the look on The Hound's face when he realizes he's set to face Beric in a fight to the death.

That was certainly the best episode so far in season 3.

Although I was fairly disappointed by Daenerys sequence. I mean, it was awesome, but it was predictable to the bone.

Oh, and Ramsay is a psycho.

I never read the books, but I'm considering doing so, because I want MOAR

And there's still A Dance with Dragons after that.

nah, I have plenty of friends I can borrow it from.

Easier and cheaper than shipping it to Poland ;)

I will admit, as someone who hadn't read the books, I didn't figure out what Daenerys's plan was until she handed over the dragon and it started to freak out.

Also I'm a little confused, how did this dondarrion guy get converted to the fire god? Did the red haired lady get to him off screen or something?

Again, this is just from someone whose only delving into a song of ice and fire is the tv series.

I gotta say that I'm not a fan of that white-haired witch. I simply don't sympathize w/ her. I was sympathetic to her in the first season, but then she started turning into a bloodthirsty tyrant. However, w/ the White Walkers on the move, somehow I feel that she and her dragons are gonna become important later on. By the way, I haven't read the books, nor heard of them until the show.

Good episode. I've really liked the season so far maybe because there has been less Dany, Catelyn and Sansa so far it seems.

IDK it just seems like every scene with Dany is way too predictable/boring even if I hadn't read the books; I feel like they would still be way to predictable. Sansa and Catelyn just bore me anyways and I find both of their characters irritating.

I figured Daenerys spoke Valerian, but I didn't see the slaughter coming. We were discussing how she would get her dragon back before the episode, so now that's settled.

No, another priest of the Lord of Light who is in his merry band now.  Actually I can't recall if they showed him already but he should be there.  Thoros of Myr.

Beyond that, there be spoilers...

Decent episode, good visuals on the end sequence.  No Willas Tyrell.   I know he makes no appearance even in the books but he's one of my favorites anyway.

I was caught somewhat offguard by Margaery naming Loras and not Willas, but given how that storyline will it's such a minor detail as to be irrelevant.

Oveall, though, great episode. Dracarys was sutiably awesome. Beric Dondarrion was sutiably badass. Given that it was snowing when Sam and Gilly fled, I expect we'll get Sam the Slayer very soon now. And more Varys and Queen of Thorns is always great.

Only real complaint would be the lack of wildling action, but hopefully skipping an episode means they can now update that story more significantly than the five minutes or less bits we've been getting thus far.

BOOKS SPOILERS!

I haven't seen anyone mention this but last episode may have ruined Alayne Stone's arc. Now, the Tyrells will know exactly where Sansa is once she disappears.
I suposse it might not make much of a difference in the end since they have no reasons to tell it to Cersei nor will Sansa be in a place the Tyrells can reach but stil...

Too-dumb-to-live slavers are something that both the books and the TV show have in common.

I don't think it was dumb of them. The slavers never had a situation before where someone offered to buy the whole Unsullied army; they are very expensive and buying the whole force would be unaffordable by even the richest prince. That, and their greed to obtain one of the only 3 living dragons in the world made them overlook the fact.

Haha, the look on Sansa's face when Margaery told that she could marry Loras was just priceless. I can imagine how she feels, getting her prince charming after all that has happened to her. Though I assume it will turn out quite a disappointment for her, consdiering Loras is in to men.

Oh, Sansa's got far bigger problems than Loras not enjoying the company of women.
