I understand that pain and fear does nothing good for one's mental faculties and that Theon is in a lot of both right now but seriously? You're tied to a cross and being flayed alive! Who could it possibly be?
Obviously, it must be the Karstarks. Did Luwin really fail to impart him any wisdom at all about the second most powerful House in the North?

Oh, I get it now. He was captured by the Manderlys, right?

I can't wait for some hot, meaty pie to be served. Though have the Manderlys been in the show at all? Their pie must be shared with everyone. And Wyman. Best character in the entire series.

He'll have to come out sooner or later, no one can hide the largest man in the North for long.

It puzzles me how this episode is considered bad by some people.

I usually follow Andy Greenwald's caps, and he didn't like this episode. Then I watched it and found I really enjoyed more than a few scenes.

I thought Arya's scenes were great, especially in regards to Melisandre. Her astonishment at the powers granted to Thoros was an interesting subversion of her character, which began in Season 2 with the snobbish omnipotent view of herself. Then her interest in Arya.

I'm interested in how they'll use Gendry going forward and whether or not it'll tie back into Arya's story. I'm glad they decided to keep him around given the dynamic with Arya's character that was absent in the books.

I'd recommend heading to the A Song of Ice and Fire forums, there are some very positive reactions towards the last episode, especially Littlefinger's scene (which apparently didn't sit well with some people over here.)

There is some speculation that Arya and Mel's scene had some intervention from Martin, and we should look out for signs in WoW.

What spoiler? You mean the bit where Arya kills Melisandre's, brother's, cousin's, friend's, dog's, previous owner's, daughter's, brother's, mother's, husband? Who is Joffrey in disguise trying to find a way to stop the Others? With his secret agent Hodor and Benjen?

Or do you mean the part where spoiler spoilers spoiler and spoiler is spoilered by spoiler which results in the spoilers being hated by everyone in spoilers.

I have to say, I liked the joffery scene of this episode, and how he was doing something that sounded very painful and couldn't possibly result in children.

If you know what I mean.

I have to say I liked Littlefinger's Chaos speech, I enjoyed it in the trailers beforehand as well. Although, I think they should have ended with that, switched the top of the Wall scene and that one around.

And the Melisandre scene was good, the new interactions between Thoros, Arya and her were interesting. One of the few things that show does that the book didn't.

I don't feel that would have worked as well. Ending with a happy moment is going to contrast heavily with what's to come.

Eh, I felt they took the whole ‘brotherhood' part of The Brotherhood without Banners, out. Though seeing Melisandre interact with Arya and Thoros was interesting.

And when the hell is Sam going to earn his damn title? It needs to be known that he is awesome.
