I'm very pleased Stannis Baratheon actually said "I never asked for this." in conversation, which he also said in the books two times. It gives me an excuse to use this, courtesy of Crustybot. If you don't get the reference shame on you and your house.

A sudden idea occurred to me today.
*spoilers*
Could Talisa be taking the place of the fake Arya Stark in ADWD?
They've been setting her up as morere than just a throwaway character. The series has long removed the original Jeyne Poole that was supposed to be a big part in Dance.
So it is possible that the writers will do away the whole Arya Stark and instead have the Bastard marry Talisa to further legitimize the new power of the Flayed Man?
Just a theory with holes but I can see it happening.

Anyone else find the directing in the last two episodes to be lackluster? Many scenes that should have been home runs seem to have fallen a little flat in my opinion. Looks like they used the same director for both these episodes: Michelle MacLaren. It just seems she doesn't have the right skills for this series. Entirely my opinion though. In contrast, I think Alex Graves (Episode 4 & 5) and Alik Sakharov (Episode 6) did incredible jobs, and I'd like to see more of them.
Here's hoping David Nutter is more like them.

Rome had male nudity, I don't see why GOT can't have it. I suppose it has to do with audience appeal/human idiocy. Show a pair of ****** and its "naughty" show a pair of balls and its pornography.

I quite enjoyed this episode. I thought the scenes were more fleshed out unlike Season 2's (and some of Season 3's) "jump-and-cut" method of filming. It reminded me alot of Season 1, where scenes weren't so squashed in due to there being less characters involved.
