You guys were actually actively looking for Gendry's member?

It wasn't that hard to spot out, your grace.

I didn't notice. Though I did wonder if there would be male nudity in the episode since they so liberally show women stripped down.

Well, women have an extra asset to showcase and in terms of nudity and acceptance in television, it seems to go twins > wang > Cersei's favourite weapon.  So I don't think it's much of a surprise we see a whole lot of boobage on game of thrones.

Anyone else find the directing in the last two episodes to be lackluster?  Many scenes that should have been home runs seem to have fallen a little flat in my opinion.  Looks like they used the same director for both these episodes: Michelle MacLaren.  It just seems she doesn't have the right skills for this series.  Entirely my opinion though.  In contrast, I think Alex Graves (Episode 4 & 5) and Alik Sakharov (Episode 6) did incredible jobs, and I'd like to see more of them.

Here's hoping David Nutter is more like them.

I quite enjoyed this episode. I thought the scenes were more fleshed out unlike Season 2's (and some of Season 3's) "jump-and-cut" method of filming. It reminded me alot of Season 1, where scenes weren't so squashed in due to there being less characters involved.

Fair enough.  My brother thought these last two episodes were the best in the season so far.  Guess it's just my personal taste.

I loved 4, but 5 and 6 were my picks for weakest episodes of the season.  Last night's episode seemed of medium quality.

Personally, while I agree that episode 7 ws rather lacklust, I greatly enjoyed this one and think it's as closely perfect an adaptation as you could get with much of the dialogue being taken straight from the books while still adding the show's own flavor. For instance, Theon and Sansa's wedding managed to transmit just how incredibly awkward and cold everything was while still adding noteworthy scenes with the Tyrells. I had feared Daario wouldn't deliver the heads of his fellow captains and he did; I feared the show wouldn't make a distinction between a Wight and a Other; and have Sam kill a reanimated corpse rather than one of it's masters; and it did.
Speaking of which, I think they managed to have Sam's big GAR moment without downplaying the threat of the Others by making it obvious that the only reason our loveable brave coward managed to win was because he caught the creature completely unaware.

But, of course, for a week, Tyrion is my favorite character. He was brave, he was compassionate, he was funny; Oh God, was he funny.

And next episode, there will be another wedding. The One Wedding to Rule Them All.

So, 1 week for the big wedding.
Who want to bet how long before everyone start crying on the internet ?

2 weeks. Next week there is no episode.
And I suspect the bawling will begin before the episode is over. And it will be glorious.

The scene between Tyrion and Joffrey at the wedding celebration was great.

Nice to see the continuing whitewashing of Tyrion in the show, it never ceases to amaze me.

As much of a jerk as Tywin is I really like the chemistry that he and Tyrion have together. The look on his face at Tyrion's "I am the god of ****** and wine" line was great.

I think the relationship between Tywin and Joffrey is pretty great, too.  Last week's scene with Joffery on the throne asking why the council was meeting in the Hand's chambers instead of the castle was pretty great.  I thought Tywin was about to reach over and smack the crap out of Joffrey.

It's true. Due to last season's episode 9 taking a slight dip in the ratings due to Memorial Day, they decided to just air it the week afterwards this time. Understandable, given that the penultimate episde has consistently been when the fan is broken from all the sh*t that hits it.

I'm planning to post the Rains of Castamere on every social network I know. I might even hum it near GOT Stark fans.

How 'bout you?

Why did they have to turn Daario Naharis into such dickless Orlando Bloom elven ladyboy?

DYED. FUKING. BEARD.

Daario made me facepalm every time he appeared on a page, so par for the course there.  I actually like the screen version better.

About the directoring, all the episodes have been lackluster IMO, so can't really say.  This one at least made me mist up when Tyrion was talking to Sansa.

To be perfectly honest, I always found Robb to be one of the least interesting Starks. I'm looking forward to seeing Arya getting to the House of Black and White towards the end of next season.

Don't take it that way, it's all in good fun. But I suppose the idiom is appropriate in this scenario... I was in tears when I read that scene. Not-so-much in the manner of, let's say, The Walking Dead, but there was definitely water xD

I don't blame you, he's basically a rumour during his prime in COK.

So stannis baratheon is directly responsible for the red wedding and for the whole kings landing tragedy, and for getting One-eye McBluelips in power?

Stannis is responsible for the existence of the Seven Kingdoms, Tywin's birth and single-handedly beat Balerion in an arm wrestling competition... with Davos sat on his lap!

Oh I'll laugh, heartily in fact. You see besides Ned I've never cared much about any character in the books that ended up dead. Not to say I didn't find them interesting characters or well written mind you, but didn't care that much about it.

Maybe one of my favorite characters will eventually end up dead..."sigh" Jaime/Brienne....but I'm prepared to accept that.

"SPOILER WARNING TO AVOID THE ANGRY MOB"

With regards to the Red Wedding I do admit that despite me despising certain characters it was in a sense heart wrenching given Catelyn's perspective and how she bagged Frey desperatly to spare her last remaining son. THAT got to me.
