They were naive, but I wouldn't say they had it coming. They made mistakes and paid the price, but as individuals they deserved better fates. The Starks just seem to have worse luck than the Lannisters and Dany in regards to the consequences of their actions.Dave of Canada wrote...
Ned and Robb's deaths were because of their naivety, they had it coming. Daenerys already had her naivety cost her dearly, she'll probably never use the stairs and just climb out her window onto her dragon and ride off to neverending story.
