But watching the fanbase's pain is simply marvelous. It shows how everyone is far too used to "the good guys win" nonsense.

I didn't anticipate anything remotely praise worthy, but at least I wasn't left that disappointed by it.

Eh, I found the whole scene 'okay-ish'. Certain aspects I found were done well, others not so much. I genuinely liked the build up (though still not as good as I hoped), but I felt the general execution was very lackluster.

Yeah, I found the episode "OK" as well. I mean, everyone acted very well, and the atmohspere was great, but a little fast in the end. And it wasn't as good as in the book, not as scary. Or that is hard to say, since I knew how it would end.
The ending made me feel a bit 'mixtured'. I loved when Roose Bolton came and put the sword in Robb, but I hated when there was no music playing in the end.
And LOL at that YT video. Delicious!

Roose giving the death blow looked ludicrous, were you to ask me. He just appeared suddenly from the side like "Wazzup!" and I'd prefer had he said "Jaime sends his regards" rather than the Lannisters.
Meh, the episode not having any music was kinda fitting. As much as I would have enjoyed (and even expected for it to roll during the end credits) for the Rains of Castamere to play, I found it more fitting that there was no distraction. It simply let it all soak in.

I bet Michael enjoyed it.[Michael McElhatton, who plays Roose Bolton,] was the one who delivered the killing blow in the scene, as this character does in the book. Did he apologize at the end of it, once the cameras stopped rolling? [New York Daily News]
"No, not at all. Not at all. Just like Roose Bolton wouldn't. There was no apology at all there. Quite funny, because you're covered in blood and he's got his prop knife in his hand, and then we have a hug to say, "Pleasure working with you." So that's quite an odd image that just comes up in my head."
