Roose giving the death blow looked ludicrous, were you to ask me. He just appeared suddenly from the side like "Wazzup!" and I'd prefer had he said "Jaime sends his regards" rather than the Lannisters.
Meh, the episode not having any music was kinda fitting. As much as I would have enjoyed (and even expected for it to roll during the end credits) for the Rains of Castamere to play, I found it more fitting that there was no distraction. It simply let it all soak in.
Well I liked that he was the one giving the killing blow, and how sudden it was the realization.
And yeah, guess I can see the point, still I as well hoped Castamere song would play.

Is it bad that the saddest thing (to me) in the entire episode was the poor Direwolf getting killed? He did not deserve that.

Interview with Richard Madden (Robb Stark):I bet Michael enjoyed it.[Michael McElhatton, who plays Roose Bolton,] was the one who delivered the killing blow in the scene, as this character does in the book. Did he apologize at the end of it, once the cameras stopped rolling? [New York Daily News]
"No, not at all. Not at all. Just like Roose Bolton wouldn't. There was no apology at all there. Quite funny, because you're covered in blood and he's got his prop knife in his hand, and then we have a hug to say, "Pleasure working with you." So that's quite an odd image that just comes up in my head."
I bet he did. I bet he did.

What's sadder is that he didn't even go out fighting. It's like they were shooting fish in a barrel.

Am I the only one wondering how the ratings will change for the next episode? Seems there's a lot of people cursing HBO now and calling for boycotts

Much like Liz in your avatar, folks are pissy. Some claim they won't watch the finale, some claim they'll cancel their subscriptions to HBO, some people are still crying.
We'll see. They'll miss out on a couple more huge moments if they choose to tune out now.
