Anyone who quits watching now due to Robb and Catelyn's deaths and misses out on finding out the fate of the rest of the Starks isn't all that commited to the house IMO

Aye. People are just reacting though based purely on their emotions.

They'll watch.

Yup. Hell after a week I went back to the book and finished it and then readt he other ones. The thing is this. Martin loves killing off characters peopel love and peopel should have expected this when Ned died. GoT/Song of Ice and fire is not a happy series. It's dark, complex and gritty.

Ha! Finally! Not as awesome as I imagined it, but I don't think that anything actually could have matched the gruesome pictures in my head.

Nonetheless I think it hurt the massacre that everybody besides Cat, Robb and Whatshername were random nobodies instead of sons and daughters of northern lords like in the book. I'm especially missing the Great- and Smalljon and the Manderleys. How are they to implement the "The North Remembers" storyline without the awesomeness that are Wyman and his pies?

That was brilliant.

A bear there was,
A bear, A BEAR!
All black and brown,
And covered in hair!

No, let's not.

Is it bad that the saddest thing (to me) in the entire episode was the poor Direwolf getting killed? He did not deserve that.
R.I.P. Grey Wind.

Ya, Gray Winds death hit like a truck :crying: I'm going to miss that direwolf.

Indeed.

Martin didn't write the books about songs and chivalries. No, a large theme that Martin takes up is that life is unpredictable and cruel. The "heroes" don't always win and the cunning have an advantage over the trusting and naive.

To put it simply.

The reaction has turned out better than I was expecting, to be honest.

By better, of course, I mean disgustingly entertaining.

I agree, StarCraft and Diablo II were just total crap compared to StarCraft II and Diablo III, too dark and depressing tbh. Game of Thrones needs to be improved like those series.
