That scene was everything I ever hoped for, and the reactions? Oh, the reactions.

I can't help but to think of the time when DAO was about to be released and they talked about ASOIAF being an inspiration. I have the most beautiful of visions in my head:

"Hey, great news for all you devoted fans of Cullen! We can confirm that he's very much open to the advances from the right Inquisitor and from the writing room there's even been murmurings of a wedding..."

Somehow the "Red Wedding" didn't affect me as much as I'd expected. Can't really put my finger on why that is, though. Maybe because I knew what was coming and had pictured some elements differently, I don't know.

Still a great episode, and a powerful and shocking scene! It will be hard to watch this with my unspoiled friends next week (we watch every season in 2-4 episode sessions). Especially my friend who gave birth her second child this year will be devastated by the addition of pregnant Talisa to the slaughterhouse. Harsh.

I really liked the fight of Jorah, Grey Worm and Daario against the guards. Unsullied kick ass, and sadly so does the arrogant mercenary. Poor Jorah, as if it wasn't bad enough he got friendzoned like he did...

I laughed when Arya smacked the old guy in the face, right after the Hound told her that she was too nice.

Sam the Slayer and his little entourage are quite adorable. "Wizard", haha.

I felt bad for poor Ygritte, being all left behind by her "Crows before hoes" boyfriend. If only they had stayed in that cozy cave... :'(

Sadly, much like in the books, I just don't care about Bran. I don't particularly like the character, and I'm somehow not interested in his arc at all. I like the Reed kids, though. And Hodor, of course.

I love how her dog was constantly checking up on her, trying to cheer her up.

Humans and Dogs, folks. Always connected.

That pretty girl Frey lacking the ugly gene was very suspicious. Did she know what was going to happen?

Oh yeah, that's why she looked so uncomfortable when Walder declared it was time for the bedding ... and it wasn't because she was going to be stripped naked by a bunch of men. Somebody in the books, I forget who, notes that those are not the tears of a bride about to be bedded.

Basically she knew it was going to happen but it wasn't exactly her choice. Recall Cersei or Joffrey's speeches about noble women being pawns.

The entire GoT phenomenon is really weird to me, because I was caught up on it all a decade ago, and people are reacting to fresh events that I've long since processed as part of the narrative.

I remember being shocked and all when I read it, but at the same time I long since processed it, moved on and have gone through another 2 and a half books in the series. So to me, its really, really old news and I've distanced myself from those characters for quite a while already. Just weird.

All anybody is talking about is the Red Wedding...but honestly the best part of the episode for me was Jon Snows storyline. I wasn't expecting them to have Orell's eagle swoop down like that, figured they would have left that out, and I literally yelled out "YEAH!" when it happened.

Someone has to add this video with Jeyen's stabbing. And just as it says "I stabby stabby slice and dice" you put that under the murder.

Insta viral. Call it, "Ezio's reaction to Red Wedding."

Let me take a moment to point out how the silent exchange between Catelyn and Roose was one of the most poignant and well acted scenes as far as I'm concern.

Lord Bolton was awfully talkative during the whole wedding.

I wonder if the people demanding they stop the killing of main characters realize Joffrey is one of them.

So do you people want Joffrey dead or not? "chuckle"
