Somehow the "Red Wedding" didn't affect me as much as I'd expected. Can't really put my finger on why that is, though. Maybe because I knew what was coming and had pictured some elements differently, I don't know.
Still a great episode, and a powerful and shocking scene! It will be hard to watch this with my unspoiled friends next week (we watch every season in 2-4 episode sessions). Especially my friend who gave birth her second child this year will be devastated by the addition of pregnant Talisa to the slaughterhouse. Harsh.
I really liked the fight of Jorah, Grey Worm and Daario against the guards. Unsullied kick ass, and sadly so does the arrogant mercenary. Poor Jorah, as if it wasn't bad enough he got friendzoned like he did...
I laughed when Arya smacked the old guy in the face, right after the Hound told her that she was too nice.
Sam the Slayer and his little entourage are quite adorable. "Wizard", haha.
I felt bad for poor Ygritte, being all left behind by her "Crows before hoes" boyfriend. If only they had stayed in that cozy cave... :'(
Sadly, much like in the books, I just don't care about Bran. I don't particularly like the character, and I'm somehow not interested in his arc at all. I like the Reed kids, though. And Hodor, of course.
