Can someone tell me (WITHOUT SPOILERS PLEASE, not done with season 2) who that dude is Arya talks to right after Tywin Lannister 'allows' her to be his cup-girl??? He agrees to kill three people for her

He looks familiar...
:?

He's Jaqen H'ghar. He was one of the people in the cage that were sent to the wall. When the cage burned Arya gave him an Axe to free himself -> She saved three people so three people need to die. That's the best I can do without spoilers.

Series are good, but once you start with the books... the series is just... bad.

Sheesh, what's with all the recasts for Season 4? So far they've recast Tommen, The Mountain (again)... and now Daario Naharis?

http://www.ign.com/a...ast-in-season-4

I love this show to bits, but... come on now. Get it together.

Any news why they replaced Ed Skrein? That's a rather drastic move for an actor/character that had way more screentime than The Mountain or Dondarrion. WIll be strange to suddenly see somebody completly different than before.

Well at least Gregor isn't the Stick that Rides anymore.

Though I'm suprised they recast Daario, there wasn't anything wrong with his actor was there?

And they didn't decide to bring back Conan Stevens?

Goddamn it.

What? Why would they recast Daario? That's insane. One thing is recasting Dondarrion who just nodded once in season but completely changing the face of one of the most prominent new additions of season 3...
Did Ed Skrein ****** someone off?

Isn't Conan busy being an Orc in the Hobbit movies or something?

There's no solid information as to why Ed Skrein was replaced, but I get the impression that it was related to him not really being close to the book's description and the mixed reception of the casting in the first place.

When I first saw the new actor for Daario, I thought initially that he'd be Euron Greyjoy, but clearly I was wrong. I still hold the belief that Mark Gatiss will be Victarion, though.

Ed Skrein did not have much acting credits anyhow, was easier to dump him.

I really hope they will not go with the bluehaired and -bearded look, it just would not work.

Not that I really care about this show anymore but...

Tommen is probably age, the kids are growing faster than the in-show action is progressing.  Witness Bran's voice cracking.  The Mountain was obvious, it was because the replacement from last season didn't fit the character and wasn't well received.

Daario, I dunno.  That guy was easy to look at though I hate the character.

How did Tyrion survive a sword blow TO THE FACE again...?

I guess we'll see how it turns out. At least they recast him after only three episodes of Skrein in the role. It will be somewhat less jarring that way.

On a side note, here's a deleted scene between Tywin and Pycelle from Season 3 they released on YouTube a while back:

www.youtube.com/watch

Regrettable that they couldn't find a place for it as it's a brilliant scene IMHO.

Pretty soon, they'll recast jon snow and stannis baratheon, and tyrion will end up being played by warrick davis.

They are minor and or unimportant characters to the show, at least for now.

So really this is not a big deal.

Okay, I seriously hope we're getting an explanation for this (we likely won't). Recasting Daario is really a weird move, unless there are good reasons.

And wait, they've recast the Mountain (again) as well, and not gone back to Stevens, who was damn great opposite the Hound? What madness is this...?!

It's regrettable that Stevens is not returning to the role, but I guess it doesn't matter much in the long run since... well, you book readers already know.

The Dog and the Snake are going to have a dance, and after that there's this thing Quburn's working on in the dungeons.

Not strictly HBO show related, but some top notch amateur acting well worth checking out( at least when physical part gets going) Rather memorable fight scene from 3rd book/4th season, mild spoilers blah blah.
It is very enjoyable to watch two physical actors just having a go at one another without scenes being cut, cameras getting switched or any of the more elaborate Holywood magics being involved.

RE:re-csasts
I'm glad Daario gets replaced, the new one looks much less impossible. I'm guessing people handling post-production of Hobbit trilogy realized they needed some extra elves.
Shame to see Tommen go, he was suitably normal, flat  and harmless for the part I thought. I get bitter about this if they plant some child star in making able to reflect deepest sensations of sorrow from within ones soul on Iron Throne.  Is greater shame still it is taking this long to get role of the mountain right:l There is never going to be " The Real Mountain" is saddening.

Not gonna lie. I'll always hope that Stevens gets casted again as The Mountain. ^_^

What is this nonsense about Renly's ghost helping Tywin win the battle of Blackwater?
