Perhaps YOU are related to the good ol' Khan. That's a big family xD

But in Morocco you'll find a household of over ten if they come from Europe. One of my good friends has seven brothers...

And sisters.

I've stayed at their house before. Huge thing, lovely family, and that says a lot because most of the time they spoke arabic hehe.

Never been to Morocco.

But my family has always been big, I have four uncles and three aunts that are related to either my father and another few related to my mom, Going back further it seems like every generation has never stopped below five children.

Well i was lucky i was born in the frozen shoals of Norway before coming to the States, a lot of my family is back in Europe and only two siblings are in the continental united states at a given time due to work.

So i rarely see or engage with relatives unless if requested to do so.

Its easier if you have an ocean between you and your family i think.

He had shattered the Lannister host, The Royal Army had barely held against Stannis and given the Tyrells have kept out of the fighting since Stannis killed Renly and they oppose Lannister rule nearly universally the only House in the way that could stop them was neutral and lacked a canidate to the throne.

He could have taken the entire realm if he had pushed for it.

But see, how does that work exactly?

You capture King's Landing yes, a formidable hold... but then, why does that automatically make you the winner?

If everyone else is against you (and I'm talking about the entire South now) you're just isolating yourself from supplies. Basically, you've cut yourself from the entire world.

Unless I'm missing something.

P.S I found something in tumbrl that's hilarious, I'll post it on the Stannis thread xD

Its the seat of the kingdom's leadership for the past three centuries for one thus making it the political center for the Kingdoms, a vital trading post and beyond that? It's the capital city of all seven kingdoms you hold it you hold the continent.

Also unless if the Lannisters fled their line would have been deposed in the seizure of it, Therefore the challenge before the King to be is gone unless if some one else wants to unseat him from it, Point being if the Lannisters fled? Lost the Capital? They lose their claim to the throne along with momentum in the war. Its partly why you see such efforts in holding in the Battle of Blackwater.

And sure "the entire south" Aka the pissant freeholders that would change their banners rapidly the second the Army got within spitting distance of the walls.

There wasn't anything orgnized in their way and thats the only way to combat an army short of engaging its supply train when its transit back in the day.

Ned could have been King, He could have stayed Hand of the King and served as Limited Regent; He died because he had honor, His son died because he had lust and decided it was more honorable to screw over a political alliance rather then just take a mistress like every other leader.
