I didn't care for the first Daario (never liked the character either, though), so I guess the new one will be fine with me. Still, replacing a clean-shaven, long-haired guy with a distinctive face with a bearded guy with shorter hair (of a darker colour) between seasons feels weird and won't make it easier for the, urm, more casual viewers.
Its a real pity they didn't portray him like he is in the books, all flamboyant looking and shizz. The tv show version is so dull in comparison, how he should look.

Well that's tv I guess, they change alot of things.
IMO he'd look like a clown if they did that. XD
But its a cool contrast to all the different cultures of Westeros, the Tyroshi are so vibrant and flamboyant in appearance. Just a minor gripe with me but hey the nerd is strong in me.
And with the tv version they are gonna change things up which they have done already.
"None of us choose who we love.."
Me too,his looks are closer to the book version...Well as at least as close as someone's looks can be, to a blue haired guy with a golden moustache!
"None of us choose who we love.."
Cheese.
Anyone else tonight?

I'm ready. ![]()

This season's gonna be soooooooooo good. Can't wait. Just two more hours.
Uhh, doesn't it air at 9 PM Eastern?
I'm ready for Hodor, the Chosen One.
I'm ready for Hodor, the Chosen One.
The rightful king of Westeros. Long may he reign!

I had no idea they switched Daario until I saw the new one in the show tonight. I prefer the old one
I can understand why they decided not to give Daario (and presumably other Tyroshi) the brightly dyed beards. Its one of those things that works fine in a book but probably wouldn't translate well to the screen. On film he probably would look like a clown.
So any thoughts about the first ep of season 4? Just finished watching it myself. Yeah it was good, the opening scene was pretty cool, Ice being melted down to make Widow's Wail and Oathkeeper. Loved the scene with Arya and the Hound in the tavern at the end of the ep. The Red Viper introduced, yay, looking forward to his plot this season, plenty of bad blood with the Lannisters there.
it wasn't good
Strong opening and closing scenes...
I like how it's easy to get back into the series, even after a long hiatus. ![]()
@hungr, I just recently decided to give game of thrones a shot. Boy did it sink it's claws deep into me lol. Last 3 weeks, nothing but game of thrones episodes, catching up. Lol
Thanks to the show will pick up the books when I pick up the Patrick weeks book.
The books are terrific, I'm reading a Dance with Dragons part 1 myself at the moment. I must warn you though that they are really hard to put down, addictive for sure but easy to read. ![]()

It's addicting, isn't it...
I didn't start right away either. I missed the first season until a friend bought me the DVD and I think I blasted through it non-stop. Was hooked ever since...
