Agreed. Another lackluster scene was Jon's. Chances are most Tv viewers don't remember that's the man who betrayed his father and, in the books, the scene really gave the feeling that things couldn't possibly get any worse and that the Watch was being ungrateful after everything Jon did to defend the Wall.

Here's, nothing really bad happened to him and he even managed to warn seasoned Brothers of the Night's Watch of the incoming army.

They better not kill Slynt just yet. That is reserved for a few seasons from now.

just trying to remember back wasn't John really badly wounded by Ingritte by the time he made it back to Castle Black? I remember many chapters going on about how he could barely stand for long due to the intense pain in his leg. But he seemed to be moving around pretty well when we check back in with him in the show. I know they can only cover so much in some many eps as the books are so large. Still though this comes really into play later on when the Crows begin their defence of the Wall against Mance and his army of Wildlings. God look what reading these books have done to me! I AM ONE OF THOSE FANS NOW! xD

Ok, the show just managed to salvage one of my favorite scenes from all books (Arya's) and a plot point I was disappointed to see absent from season 3 (Donto's, I figured they were just going to give his role to Littlefinger). We're off to a very good start.

 

However, the wedding is already happening in the next episode? And it seems to share the episode with many scenes unrelated to it?

 

The wedding will play out over the entire episode - in fact I would imagine the feast itself may be broken into two scenes, although even if it isn't, they'll close out the episode with you-know-what. Heck, even the Red Wedding was sharing space with Dany and Sam and a couple others. So far, the only major event that has taken up an entire episode on its own was the Blackwater, and that took place over multiple chapters and POVs compared to the weddings, both of which take place in a single chapter. 

 

As for it happening so soon, it surprised me too but I figure that they want to milk Tyrion's trial drama for the middle part of the season and get Sansa's storyline going so that Peter Dinklage and Sophie Turner aren't just moping for half the season. I figure the duel comes in episode 9 (Pedro Pascal needs to stick around for as long as he can!) and the toilet will be the episode 10 cliffhanger.

Maybe this sounds a bit strange but i already miss Joff and his cruelty somehow.


I was also wondering how they handle the Tyrion/Shae Storyline because the TV Love Story was much more intense compaired to the Books but after watching the first Episode it seems like it will end the same way as in the books.

The first Time i watched the show i was really hoping that this little sick bastard dies as soon as possible but after rewatching it two times i really enjoyed his scenes and i definitely will miss him. The scene with Jaime in the new episode was really nice too.

But i'm very curious how the TV only Fans react when Tyrion "pays his debts"

But i should stop reading those Books it is somehow not the same anymore if you know what will happen.

Shae is much more likable I feel in the show and I love Charles Dance as Tywin I will miss them both. I really enjoyed his scenes with Joffrey and his children in the show, he is the only one able to put any fear in em!

"If the Father Above came down to offer him back his son or his hand, Jaime knew which he would choose."

I'm also very curious how they introduce the new Leader of the Brotherhood without Banners i guess it happens in the final Episode 10 scene.

I haven't started a Feast for Crows yet and i hope i can still resist after Season 4 is over but i guess not.

My jaw hit the floor, so unexpected and this is also something I can't wait to see done, and people's reaction to it will no doubt be awesome. Lady Stoneheart, justice for the Starks yay, one yucky Frey at a time!

 

Well with next season I don't think they're doing the books in order as Tyrion or Dani don't feature in A Feast for Crows so I think they're going to jump over to A Dance with Dragons instead and perhaps add scenes from A Feast to tie up everybody elses stories. I'm guessing this is what they might do, I don't know.
