I praise Jack Gleeson for his portrayal of the character, but I really did not feel sorry for either Joffrey or Cercei.
Jack was terrific, excellent casting.
Did anyone else actually feel sorry for Joffrey and Cersei?
Yes, I wanted that piece of sh&t dead but watching him die so gruesomely in his own mother's arms was not enjoyable. Cercei was the only person in the books who actually mourned for him.
Hahaha ![]()
No, that lil bastard need to go
Love her GoT vids, this is just a review of this weeks episode "The Lion and The Rose."

A Little bit, I always did on some level.

I feel absolutely no sympathy for Joffrey.
I can't help but feel a bit of empathy. But that always happens. Empathic
. Even when I don't want to be.
But then I steel myself and remind myself that this is Joffrey.
King Joffrey I and Aerys II Targaryen are having fun in the Seven Hells. ![]()
Something I've noticed over the last few seasons-
If a character's death is oncoming in a particular season, the actor/actress portraying that character has a few more GOT-related media appearances prior to the season's premiere.

Have fun rotting in a dungeon for the next two books ![]()
I'm pretty sure Cersei hired some mercenaries to kill all the Baratheon bastard babies...I remember stuff like newborns being taken from their mothers and killed in front of them or something?
So not sure I feel sorry for her.
Saw the last episode and Joffrey was a pain but thing is without his crown that kid wouldn't have been a threat.
He was a sadistic little brat , but mostly a coward.
He could have changed if he had lost the throne (being a bastard) or if his new wife had manipulated him.Because he also wasn't very clever.
Anyway I've seen the show will have a season 5 and 6 ...and I'm curious how it's going to work.
I mean the Theon/Reek thing is part of Dance with Dragons , Bran going up north is also part of the last book etc...
So what's going to happen?A different story for the books and Tv show?
You speak of Season 2, Episode 1. Those "mercenaries" were the gold cloaks.I'm pretty sure Cersei hired some mercenaries to kill all the Baratheon bastard babies...I remember stuff like newborns being taken from their mothers and killed in front of them or something?

Joffery ordered that, if I recall the episode correctly. Cersei couldn't stop him from doing it, at least that was tyrions allegation, which she didn't deny.

Haven't seen everything from the show , but I'm pretty sure Joffrey never got involved in that in the books.

Divergence. Divergence everywhere.

I honestly imagine events will be moved, fleshed out more, and that they aren't looking at this as a "every season has to mirror every chapter" but more along the lines of "the seasons must go with the story of the books as a whole". That's why
I didn`t feel sorry for Joffery he was on my list of people who have to die

At some point, I will nab the HBO series for exactly $0 and that is when I will watch it. Maybe one of those friends might lend it to me, but they are probably too scared to now
For what it's worth, I read all the books first and I think the show does a better job with the material. It's definitely worth a shot if you're bored.
Honestly tho I did feel sorry for Cersei, poor thing has it hard from the time she was born (and no matter how douchebag her kid was, he was still her child and we all know how Cersei values her children above all)
Joffrey can rot in hell for all i care. i'm curious how Margaery will handle things now that she's the only Queen.
I don't feel sorry for Joff and Cersei but i somehow will miss his cruelty and his scenes with Tywin or Tyrion.
Cersei has NO problem killing many other children. What. Ever.
I like Theon, am I crazy? I'm more interested to see where they are going with him then most of the characters tbh.

He should be waaaaaaaaaay more busted than he is on the show, in the books that guy is a mess.
Well, maybe he'll get worse as time goes on.He should be waaaaaaaaaay more busted than he is on the show, in the books that guy is a mess.

What bothers me more is that they've showed no signs of opening up the Euron Greyjoy plotline, though maybe I'm just misremembering when that happens.
