Sure, but he tried to kill a kid.
The things he does for love eh!

So, that ice zombie hordes we saw about a year ago. What happened to them? Is it still slowly walking towards the Wall? Is it walking/swimming somewhere else? Has their leader got lost? When will the Long Winter occur?

Oh they're coming just like the dragons are.

I think they keep stopping to build snowmen along the way.
Now i have to say i have read the books and Jaime was on my must die list . I think he started out black but he is coming to grey like so many other characters as the story goes on . To me jaime is a bit like the Hound starting out as terrible characters but i see them heading in the grey direction but not white no way are they white .
The Hound is Black??
Oh they're coming just like the dragons are.
They're coming and they're gonna be HUGE!!! ![]()

I think the differences between the book and TV versions of that Cersei/Jaime scene are being exaggerated. Consider:
-In the books, Cersei still resists Jaime at first, and many people say that it's still rape even if they "consent" later. By that logic, it's still rape in the books.
-Cersei was in an incredibly volatile emotional state at the time, what with the recent death of Joffrey and still thinking Jaime might be dead (he hadn't returned to King's Landing yet in the books). Any "consent" she may have given in such a state is suspect at best.
-The scene in the books is entirely from Jaime's POV, so we have no idea what was going through Cersei's head at the time.
-The text says that "he didn't hear her" when Cersei is verbally protesting at first, and that there was "no tenderness, only hunger" when he kissed her. Jaime likely would've forced himself on her anyway even if she hadn't consented.
(I've mentioned this elsewhere on other forums too)
C'mon people. I love Jaime, but you guys should be smart enough to realize that he is not a good person, no matter how much he wants to be. He's not Arthur Dayne, he's the Smiling Knight.
The Hound is Black??
Your joking right
IMO he is bad but showing signs of goodness

I don't trust the TV series directors to finish the story, they've done a poor enough job portraying Stannis where I fear it would turn into some generic "Dany shows up and saves Westeros" scenario where everybody lives happily ever after despite the Targaryen habit of going crazy and burning things. It will be interesting to see how they handle Dany's foolish nation-building adventure and firing of somebody.
I trust them more than I trust Martin, to be honest. But then again I trust both of them more or less, with the directors winning out since I trust them to actually finish the story.
^ Hear hear. Crew of HBO has done some bad decisions. Most of them in situations where they had to pick between bad and terrible option. They have also made some stupid decisions, changing detail here, another there for no justifiable reason.
Generally, though, I think they've done awesome work. Huge portion of scenes and dialogue written exclusively for the show works great. Significant portion of these scenes do better justice to characters than bloated, unsatisfying shitfest that Feast or Dance are at their worst. I'm sure there is an excellent season(or book, for that matter) buried in there, as long as they can like 1/4 or 1/2 of the content. In hindsight, Dance feels exactly like I imagine Wheel of Time to feel. I haven't read the latter but I imgine it is utter ****.
I surprised myself by misliking the latest episode.I was really looking forward to it since forever, but felt it is weakest of the season by far.
Aftermath of Joff's wedding got way too little screen time. I wanted to see more Lannister tears.
Tyrion scenes were the usual ARE YOU SURE YOU REALLY LOVE HIM ENOUGH BY NOW, DEAR WATCHER? - stuff they always are.
Actor of Littlefinger has apparently forgotten how to Bealish; he didn't sound odd or creepy, just bad.
Dany's scenes played like some Brothers Grimm fairytale. " I can not pick you, because you are my fave bodyguard, said mama bear to Barristan the Bold. I can't pick you, because you are on my friendzone", continued mama bear to the Mormont bear. ..it was just pompous bloated and fairytalesque and stupid. Her casual conversation with a huge city like 2 km away is propably dumbest scene of the entire show. Wasn't this the episode GRRM penned himself?

How do you know Authur Dayne is perfect? All we've heard of the guy was from someone else. If anything, the book had told us not to take anything at face value.
In fact, Ser Dayne was one of the KG that watched on as Mad King went on about his mad business.
Ser Arthur Dayne is universally regarded as a "true knight" from Northerners to Dornishmen
Serving a lunatic doesn't detract from that, it was his job to serve honorably, not serve an honorable man

That Targaryen banner was everything tbh
That Targaryen banner was everything tbh
freakin Targaryens
Khaleesi pls
So that was interesting
On another note, Meereen was a bit underwhelming, the bit with Bran and the Deserters is getting a bit much, Locke at the wall even more so
However, Oathkeeper, the scene with Cersei and Jaime, more Baelish
7/10

It has been years since I read the books but as I recall, this is more or less how the dynamics in their fuking has most always been. Jaime wants it, Cersei plays a refusal, resists sincerely enough for a time but like as not wants it just as much. I'm sure good part of their...scenes have looked plenty rapetastic in eyes of Varys' spies over the decades. Yet, she loves&wants him sincerely enough. In turns them both on and is just part of who they are.
