Still think these two were perfect fucked up brothers:

New guy is a beast, but just not as good, and too young looking. Damn you, recasts!
Otherwise a great episode!

I don't like the new Gregor. The first one was perfect. This one just doesn't strike me as the type that would kill babies and then rape their mother.
And this is also the third time he changed actor
I'm getting a bit tired of characters getting recasted.

I agree, although I must admit I prefer the new Daario Naharis, even though I still dislike him as a character...

I also prefer the new Daario, he seems much more charming. Why did they recast these characters, anyways?

The first Daario, Ed Skrein, is going to play the main character in the new Transporter movie and left because of that, or at least that's what speculated. Neither him nor HBO said anything.
The first Gregor, Conan Stevens, is playing Bolg in the Hobbit trilogy.
The second Gregor, Ian White, ... well I can only guess, since I haven't read anything official: Ian White is just tall, not freakishly huge like Gregor Clegane is described in the books. Somebody like Strongman Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson simply fits the description "The Mountain That Rides" better than White. Just look at Björnsson. The dude looks like he can hack a Horse in two with just one swing of his sword, like Stevens did in Season 1. White on the other hand... not really.
A rather important fact for the tension and the upcoming fight against Oberyn itself, if you ask me.

Geez, did they really have to say "your sister" Do they think people really have forgotten Catelyn's name and what her relation to Lysa was? They had just extablished in the previous scene how Baelish loved her and only her.
Also, Rorge and the Biter were some of the most despicable people in Westeros. I can't overstate how relieved I was when they were dead and could hurt no one ever again.
For them to be killed so easily is a bit of a disappointment. Did the show really have to have scenes where Joffrey abuses prostitutes at the expense of every other monster in the books?

Actually Conan Stevens said that he was available to play the Mountain for season 4 but said that HBO didn't contact him.

I heard that they have some kind of a "If you leave, we won't hire you a second time" policy. Which is rather unfortunate, since Conan is the ideal cast for Gregor, imo.

Also, I wonder who'll take the blame for Lysa's fall since there was no singer there in the show.

And sadly he isn't even doing that. He's credited in the first movie for being unrecognizable in a flashback, and starting with the final version of Desolation of Smaug they'd replaced his practical effects role with a CGI orc based on another actor's performance. It's just all around frustrating.

He's 25. He's playing the older brother of the Hounds ( 45 YO actor)..
That super weird lol.

Burns make you look older? *shrugs* That's be a good enough explanation to me.

Do you think he`s as good looking as Ed Skrein ? I didn`t think he was good enough for Dany to obsess over .

I agree. I really liked Conan Stevens, because he had the height and the looks. The Mountain in the books would probably look a bit more burly, though, like the new actor is.
I'm more disappointed in Daario's recast, because Ed Skrein really had the look of a womanizer for the role. New guy looks like a puppy dog that should be in the next Magic Mike instead.

Pfft, Mountain, Daario... I now only care about seeing this one on screen: ![]()

Looking forward to the duel, though at the same time dreading it as well. I really like this actor and all his scenes with Lannisters are awesome.

Yea new mountain looks way too kind. Character greatly suffers from their need to re-establish a new face for each new season. Mountain really hasn't gotten to be The Mountain since tourney of the Hand.
