Spoiler

Agreed. The stupid part is that the Mountain was beaten... yet he still won due to Oberyn's thirst for vengeance. He let his emotions get the best of him and made a ridiculous mistake.

Also, am I the only one loving Gregor Clegane? I don't condone smashing the heads of babies into walls, but it takes a lot of guts to create a character like that. I always thought Gregor was suffering from some kind of brain tumor, like he's the Westerosi version of Jason from the Halloween flicks, only less sadistic than Ramsay Snow.

It's a shame that one Lannister cousin Tyrion and Jaime were talking about didn't live, he could have lead House Lannister someday.

House Lannister: "Smash the beatles! Smash em!"

Easily the best Lannister that has ever lived. I'd love to hear more about the beetles worst nightmare.. too bad he never got the chance to take the reigns. Ah well great people die before their time far too often, such a tragedy

Ugh.... I knew that was coming, but it was so visceral. Am interested to see how they handle the Sand Snakes and Doran Martell in coming seasons. Always loved the Dornish and House Martell for some inexplicable reason.

Who would have though that Tyrion would have been such a big Beatles fan?

So, I went, I saw, I went wide eyed at the gore. It's probably a good sign that reading the books and seeing the show haven't desensitized me to this stuff. That was pretty grotesque.

I was laughing with Arya though. That sort of hysterical bitter feeling of family dying before they can be ransomed not once but twice. Not to mention the look on Sandor's face.

True.

LF has a grand plan and when he does something, there's always a contingency. The whole Lysa thing felt like he was just winging it in the show. They've simplified the hell out of that storyline and as such have robbed LF of his brilliance.

I explained what his plan is to the family to make sure they caught on, since I wasn't so sure. My stepfather immediately caught on to the fact that LF seems to want little Robin out of the way.

Three days, too.

Also, it is a testament to the writing of the show that I actually had warm fuzzies watching Roose and Ramsey becoming officially father and son. Even though these are two of the most deplorable, terrible guys on the show, it still wasn't written like a scene of "together we shall rule the galactic empire!" but instead a rather engaging and honest scene between a father and son reconciled.

Despite both of them being absolute monsters and all.

People are still people, no matter the buzzword people use to describe them. :)

Yes they are people.

One is a pretty cool evil person.

The other one is a cartoon bad guy who does really super evil things because why not. And he is kind of hot. Only in the show that is.

But they are people.

Just like Soylent Green.

I also really liked the Grey Worm and the other chick scenes. I think it does a good of humanizing the slaves Dany has freed under her cause.

Which I'm sure will make the inevitable slave revolt against her all the more heart wrenching when it happens. (I haven't read the books, just out of the top of my head as a disclaimer in case this actually happens).

Yeah I could call those scenes a time waster since I read the books and I would love to be a book a-hole right now.

But I am still sad over this episode so no. And yeah they are doing a pretty good job of making these slave characters more like people. Where in the book they are just uhhhh there.

Hell they made Hizdahr, a slaver, pretty sympathetic so far. I actually can't wait to see what else the show will do with him and the rest of the awful Meereen characters.

Should be good.

I guess my question is... what are all these freed slaves DOING right now? I mean... who is feeding them? What are they doing for shelter? Money? Freedom is great, but if you don't have a job, then you really just have a city with an 80% unemployment rate.

Well those will be issues that the show will bring up. I hope so anyway.

In the books Xaro Xhoan Daxos at one point shows up in Meereen and he brings up some of them to Dany.

But seeing what the show did to him uhhhhhh who knows?

They might say he had a backdoor or something in his vault. That and he left Doreah in there or something because he's a douche canoe.

You know what I missed during the Viper vs Mountain fight? No mention of poison. Like, no hint or anything

Sure, we saw his squire "clean" his spears, but viewers that haven't read the book probably won't see that.

It's in the books , there are some consequences to Daenarys actions.

It's probably going to end up in the show somehow ...I don't really watch it , but G. Martin made a point of answering those type of stuff ...

I didn't see her bones anywhere.

And she was there with him when they got locked up.

He does.

In the books he has to drink an anesthesic very often because he gets a lot of headaches.
