Gotta love all the friends whining about quitting the show because the recent outcome of a cool character. But somehow it's not that funny anymore, like after the Red Wedding. :(

Can't wait for all the edgy coolkids losing their **** when they find out where do whores go.

Wonder when will raging about GoT deaths stops being a thing on the internet.

Pfft, people say they'll leave but they NEVER leave xD

If that were the case, readers would have burnt the books years ago.

Good ep and dat head crush was BRUTAL!

Could have done with some more ELIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA's though but whatever.

Don't know why they're bothering with a Greyworm/Missandei romance thing, ugh, just yeah k, moving on. Dany finally kicked Jorah out of her inner circle.

Sansa is interesting hooray, lol suicide excuse, bah book did it better. I did enjoy her confession scene though, she's learning. And Arya and the Hound although brief still kinda funny to hear her laugh at the news when they reached the Vale.

And I've got Pedro's body(slim). Impressive to see the difference between two human beings like this.

He's an icelandic strongman, 6'9" and 420 lbs. I like him in the role. I just wanted the bastard to lose.

Could you imagine, in real life having to go hand to hand with some dude that big and strong.

Nope.

On topic, that fight was sick tho. The Viper had it won, but he got showboaty and cocky. But the fight was sick.

I felt if the discussion had a better punch line, so to speak, it would have been a good story. As was, it was a five minute long rant that killing beetles without purpose (and, therefore, killing all life indiscriminately without purpose) was something neither Jaime nor Tyrion understood. Which is fine, but ultimately I think it was a desire to use the line "Far too much has been written about great men, and not nearly enough about morons."

Heh, I think everyone was waiting for the punchline. So why did he do it? What was the reason? But they used the lack of a punchline, a proper answer, as the message of the conversation. There is no clever punchline, no answer that can make sense of it. There is no good reason why the beetles have to die. Outside of the mind that decides all beetles have to be crushed, there is no way to understand, and perhaps that mind itself doesn't really know either. Kinda clever, but still the conversation was too long to end with "I don't know".

There was this Albanian at my local Pizzaria who had arms like his -- They were so big one would think he'd hired former balloon salesmen as his personal trainer.

Was that a message purely for the readers, or was it what Tyrion and Jamie was discussing as well? It seems fitting as they're two characters who aren't as concerned with power. Well I guess "bad guy jamie" was in his own way, more in the form of personal glory.

Do you mean whether Tyrion and Jaime realized they were not just discussing beetles? I think they did see the parallel between the current situation and the beetle stomping, but the whole message was probably more aimed at the viewers (I assume that's what you mean with "readers"; I've read the books but the books are not needed when interpreting the conversation. I've forgotten most of the books anyway).

It seems like Tyrion most likely did since he brought it up, but I'm not sure whether Jamie got what he was talking about or not. I mean I didn't. I thought it was going to be about Tyrion since he ended up talking mostly about himself. I was like wait are they just trying to tell me that he's really compassionate to beetles?

There's no way to tell for sure, but the way Jaime said "I don't know" suggested to me that he was not only hurting his head over why his moronic cousin spent his days smashing beetles.

For the record, I think that "bad guy Jaime" existed (exists) because of Cersei. All the bad things we've seen him do was to either hide their affair or to return back to her. Since she has broken up with him, in a sense, he's been a better person than he's been in years.

That guys a freak of nature, there's only one thing anyone could do

Spoiler

It is getting old every time a good character comes along there brutally murdered. The death of Joffery seemed more like an "okay we have to kill one evil guy, might as well be the little ****"

It was a metaphor for a lot of the characters in the show, who have to crush the people beneath them (beetles) to feel powerful. Tyrion's always been a beetle. It's meant to illustrate how pointless all of the conflicts that are going on in Westeros really are; the poor beetles basically die for nothing.

I can appreciate the symbolism, but I felt the conversation went on for way too long. It could have made the point while being a lot shorter.

Did anyone else get the jist that maybe Tyrion had something to do with ending Orson’s beetle vendetta? As well as it being a metaphor was it a confession?

Really enjoyed the fight scene. It was satisfyingly brutal and while I knew how it would end, seeing it happen on the screen still made me cring. Glorious.

We'll always have the books, and read them as they are vastly superior to the show.
