F*ck Yeah, House Manderly.
They better be handsomely rewarded after all is said and done. I'm thinking second most important House in the North.

But Wyman Manderly has never been seen or hinted at in the show.

You can see a Manderly at the Red Wedding.
Bastard son, lol.

"A Dance with Dragons" all up in this b*tch.
I'm going to take a guess here and say Ellaria is going to take Arianne's role.
Is it some kind of requirement to have Melisandre naked in every consecutive season?
Anyway, my perverse comment aside, I am as well skeptical over where the show is headed. It appears that the focus on Greyjoys / Iron Islanders is absent from this season, which saddens me since it is quite an important factor I find in the books; both to introduce and flesh out new and old characters, in addition for plot reasons. Their appearance being postponed till next season sounds a tad bit bizarre if you ask me (if they appear at all).
Well we'll see how it turns out.
. He was fat and had a merman pin on his coatI don't remember that. Was he wearing the Manderly Sigil? White Merman over a field of blue?
Or did you just see a fat guy and assume it's a Manderly?
The Umbers and Mormonts have already had a presence in the show.
Also wouldn't surprise me to see them use another member of the Reed Family.

Besides the Greatjon there are no living memebers of those families in a position to do anything
"Really ? Who is loyal to the Stark exactly ? Did you even read the books ?"
The Lords of the Vale are. That's who. And, yeah, considering all her full brothers are 'dead', Sansa is actually rather important. Why do you think she's been passed around like a hot potato and faught over in KL?
"When the smartest members of your family are your nine (?) year old daughter and bastard son, you have problems."
L0L @ Arya and Jon being 'smart'. ![]()

Interesting! I totally missed that! Thanks!
So, I gotta ask, since I have not read the books. Is Season 5's content gonna be as good as Season 4's was?

I think all the seasons have been pretty good. I was just curious if Season 5 would have some good stuff. That's all.Did you really find Season 4 to be a high point?
There is still some good stuff and surprises left that book readers are aware of but it's rapidly approaching the point where nobody has any idea what is coming.

it all depends on what they do to the source material
if Jaime is indeed going to Dorne and they cut his content with Freys and Tully's I will be extremely disappointed

This is a good thing

Hey, I said smartest members of their family, not smart. Compared to Eddard "Let me warn Cersei that I plan to undo all of her amibitions" Stark and Robb "I can't keep it in the pants long enough to finish this war" Stark, they're doing well.
Oh, not to mention their mother giving Jaime back on faith that the Lannisters would be true to their word and give her daughters back.
I've recently rewatched Season 2 and changed my view of Jaime's release. Lord Karstark and his men were on the verge of mutiny and Jaime would've almost certainly been dragged out of his cage and killed if Catelyn hadn't let him go. So given the circumstances I think Catelyn made the right call.
I'd actually been critical of Catelyn in general in the past but she was actually one of the more shrewd members of the Stark family. I'd say she was one of Robb's wisest advisors along with Lord Bolton. Too bad Robb was too much of a stubborn, prideful fool to listen to their counsel.
The right call would have been, if he was in danger, to have him transported to a Stark-aligned fortress.
Not release one of the most dangerous warriors in the Seven Kingdoms for two girls when the Lannisters hadn't even agreed on the exchange in the first place.

That's easier said than done, I'm afraid. Go give A Man Without Honor a rewatch and you'll see what I mean.
I'll make a middle of the argument. I think both sides of the 'releasing Jaimie was dumb' argument have good points to make. That's why this is fantastic. The argument could be made for either side.
D find it funny how the Stark loyalists cried about how Jaimie 'lacked honour' for killing a captor. LMAO I guess they expected him to be a nice little model prisoner and wait until either he's passed off as a piece of meat or executed. Of coruse, his cold blooded killing (in the show) of his fellow Lannister is a whole different story...
