I'm so looking forward to season 5. The end of season 4 had me completely captivated when Stannis just demolished the wildlings. I drank to him that night.

 

As far as characters goes, I really can't wait to see Dany crumble.

She's trying to be all about "doing the right thing" and to see how "badass" she can make herself seem. Arrogant child imo. Fact is, she's destabilizing an entire continent and not rebuilding the infrastructure she destroyed. She has no understanding of ruling of city, let alone all 7 kingdoms.

 

Maybe she'll become the main antagonist; a crazy Targareyan with dragons.

 

Pls kill her, Stannis.

Yeah, because Stannis is so much more stable - blindly following the whims of a psycho sorcerer and  murdering those who follow him simply because they don't drink her juju juice. The one person he spared was at her request. He is one of the most insane evil people on the show. I wonder how low he'll go and if he'll allow his own daughter to be killed by his  shadow lover. Maybe his wife. Stannis is a piece of crap  who follows a religious fanatic. Talk about psycho!

I feel so sorry for Stanny. Always being misjudged. But people tend to do that when their perception isn't open.

 

Stannis actually adores his daughter and gives her attention when her own mother doesn't. Stannis' wife is the messed up one imo.

 

Also Stannis in the books isn't much like the Stannis in HBO's GoT.

Oh, I have no doubt Stannis loves his daughter. That still doesn't change the fact that he has a pyschopath who enjoys getting off to a shadow sorceress making shadow babies that murders his brother and slaughters his shoulders. Anyone who blindly follows a religious fanatic for the sake of power is a piece of crap. He can be saved but for now I list him as a horrible human baby who murders innocents for evil reasons.

Show Stannis has been gimped compared to Book Stannis. Yet he still stands as the best candidate for King in Westeros.

I mostly just support Stannis because Davos is one of my favourite characters, tbh.

And yet Dany has destroyed entire cities without remorse or even attempting to rebuild.

 

Stannis, on the other hand, remained loyal to the throne when Robert Baratheon told him to stay at Storm's End and they nearly starved to death. But Stannis stayed firm and followed his duty. But he also isn't our honorable Ned Stark, so if you're hoping the someone Ned tier to rule the Iron Throne then you might as well stop reading/watching it. Stannis knows how to play the game of thrones unlike our dear Ned. He is completely unbias to who is who. The throne is even his *by right*. And I honestly don't get why Stannis doesn't have more fans. Sooo many people loved Ned Stark and yet those people mostly flocked to clueless Dany. Even though Ned stood up for Stannis to rule the Iron Throne. Thus now even Jon Snow is with Stannis Baratheon.

 

The way Stannis was treated during the Rebellion and the where he is now (in the show) is quite the leap.

Maybe he will, maybe he won't. But I really don't think Stannis is one of the worst characters in the show/book tbh. Not the best, but no the most abhorrent either.

Well for one, he is stringently opposed to burning people for not believing in the Lord of Light, clashing with Melisandre and many of his men as a result. But in the show, he seems like a religious fanatic who gets off on it.

L0L This argument is weak. I mean  his brother got the thrown by  defeating the old king. He has much 'right' to the thrown as Beepboopbop.  By right. The Iron Throne is ruled by those with the power to rule it or by those who are allowed to rule via the mercy of others.  If we were going 'by right' then Dany's brother would 'by right' have been ruling.

 

Stannis is not a good guy but I should say I don't hate him as a character.  He's entetraining and has some depth. I do laugh when people claim he's a good guy as he is cheering on the burning of his followers because they would bow to the shadow sorceress that he is banging. I also laugh when they say he had the throne 'stolen' and 'by right' he should have it.

 

Davos is awesome though - espicially for an ex smuggler. He actually has morals. But,t here are plenty of decent people alive in Westeros.

Still, the reason why people like Ned say he should be next in line is he is Robert's older brother. The Targaryens lost their power when  Robert's army wiped them out (mostly). Bottom line the only claim to the Iron Throne is what can be done by war or coin not blood.
