This has been my favourite theory for ages. It's about as likely as Stannis crying but it's just so goddamn awesome. If I could make one thing happen in ASOIAF it would be this.
Well either that or Dolorous Edd turning out to be Azhor Azhai.
Dolorous Edd might be the biggest disappointment in the television series for me.
In the books he's one of the funniest characters and is up there with Tyrion for some of the best lines that cause you to laugh out loud. For the most part however, that hasn't made the series.
On that note Tormund Giantsbane is also a disappointment in the series, for similar reasons. The actor that plays him is good, but the writing makes him much more serious than his book counterpart. Book Tormund has more charm and humor than the version of him in the series.
Tormund is my biggest disappointment for sure. He was so humorous and jolly in the books! The show version is so bland and serious.
At least Dolorous Edd has a few funny lines in the show...

I like Edd either way, even in the show. He reminds me of how I'd probably be in the Night's Watch. Cynical as feck with dry humour everywhere, silently hating everyone. Don't know about the book version, but he works for ignorant me.

I saw a screenshot, sorry no link, of Sansa i what looked like the tombs of the Kings of Winter, so it seems pretty likely that Sans a is gonna replace fake!Arts, which I'm torn on. I don't like that plotline terribly, but I really like Theon and the Manderlys there, and I hope they aren't cutting either of those.

On a more serious note he's probably going to be dead before series' end, and I wouldn't bet on him sitting on the Iron Throne. But he is one of my favorite characters in the series, and the character with the best claim to the Iron Throne once Robert got gored by the boar.
