I think she asked jon because she wants experienced. Also red magic seems very powerful. Should be interesting if her and dany are on the same side

I'm more worried about her end game if anything. She might be nessacary now, but after Stannis takes the throne she'll probably set the whole kingdom on fire.

This is a commentary about all 4 episodes that have been... released thus far. Also comparisons to the books, so ADWD spoilers. Don't click if you haven't read/watched them!

-While I appreciate that Littlefinger is not a flawless walking plot device like he is in the books, IMO his plan is a bit daft. If he's betting on Stannis, why not just go see Stannis? He's taking a big risk by letting Sansa alone with Ramsay, in what will soon be a warzone. Also the travel times in the show are incredible, a rider goes from the Eyrie to Winterfell halfway across the continent in a quarter of an episode? Really? They should really pay more attention to those details

 

-Not entirely convinced by the Fantasy ISIS angle they took with the Sparrows. Sure, they are ruthless in the books, but every second of their screen time is devoted to showing how much of a bunch of ******* fanatics they are, save for the High Sparrow's introduction.

-The storyline at the Wall is pretty great. Loved the scene with Stannis and Shireen in Ep.4. Loved everything surrounding Mance. Loved the Jon/Stannis interactions. And Slynt getting his dues was great too.

-Meereen is much more interesting in the show. Sorry GRRM, but the showrunners established Dany's problems and made the Sons of the Harpy a threat better in two episodes than you did in a whole book. Also pretty sure they won't kill both Grey Worm and Ser Grandfather, who does that leave around Dany, just Daario and Missandrei? On that note, Daario is a much better character in the show. 

 

-Still not quite seeing the point of Brienne + Pod. Perhaps they will replace Mance Rayder's rescue party in Winterfell? Not convinced by that plotline.

 

-The Rheagar foreshadowing is real. Better late than never, I suppose. But three times in one episode? Why not flash Jon's face as Littlefinger makes his speech, to be even less subtle.

 

-Dorne... well it wasn't my favorite plotline in the books at all, but it looks like they did very little to improvie it. Ellaria is now a Crazy Widow, and the Sand Snakes are the same B-movie Bad Girls they were in the books. At least we get some Jaime-Bronn banter. The Water Gardens look nice tho.

 

-I'm still not convinced by the axing of Aegon and Jon Connington. Varys being Team Dany and Man Of The People seems a bit silly. But at least Tyrion is pretty fun as a drunken wreck when we don't spend an entire book in his thoughts. And thank the heavens for no Penny. 

 

-I approve of replacing the Kindly Man by Jaquen. Other than that Arya's story is so far pretty much 100% book so not much to add. Hope the training gets moving a bit. Also, who else bets she's going to kill Meryn Trant when he goes to Braavos?

Honestly they weren't any better in the books. ''Vengeance rawr!'' was the sole extent of their characters, with the only variation between the sisters being that some are warriors while others are assassins. The thing, is, I believe they're even more cringe-worthy on screen than on page because we have to suffer through those tryhard caricatures that we've already seen half a billion times. Hopefully they improve over the course of the season, but I'm not getting my hopes up. 

 

Also, Ellaria as the Crazy Widow is not very welcome. What sets her apart in the books is that she's the only woman in the larger Martell family not to be an idiot or a vengeance-crazed psycho. In the show she might as well be the oldest of the Sand Snakes.

 

The one storyline where I praise the showrunners in Meereen's. They actually made me care about what happened, while Book!Dany receives only apathy from me. The show doesn't get everything right, but they avoided getting bogged down like GRRM did here and I can only congratulate them for it.

Okay, I was confused about people talking about things that didn't appear last night, but some of you have seen the leaked stuff. Tsk.
 

Slightly burn resistant, not fire proof

She's been shown to be totally fireproof. The only thing that happened to her in the dragon birth scene is her hair got singed and she got some soot on her. That was a full on conflagration so it doesn't get any more fireproof than that.
 

When you preach a theology about a Lord of Light, but give birth to a shadow creature. It makes me think she's been lying the whole time.

Fire makes smoke. The thing about magic in Westeros is that it always comes at a price. This is why the R'hllor priests are the only ones who get anything done. But it's also why I'm with Varys that you don't want them taking over.

Well, I guess it's safe to assume that Asher WON'T be leading Daenerys to Drogon now -- I guess it was also premature to think that the show would pay reference to the game, if only slightly, though I do prefer the game being as far as apart from the show as possible as it can. All things considered anyway.

She may be neccessary and hot but evil. She enjoys committing cold blooded murder, she loves torture, and likes to use brainwashing to get her way. Of coruse she gets hate. She also makes a guy like Stannis who could be admirable come across as a weak doofus who is easily controlled and willing to betray his own beliefs because she tells him to.

 

\One can admire her power but still see the evil in her. I think she cums every time a human being burns.

 

 

P.S. I hope they don't screw over Sansa though it looks like they are.
