Its what Ned would've done, its what Stannis would've done, and Stannis approved big time. hahaha
It was pretty much all he COULD do.
Basically. If he didn't, he'd have confirmed several things-
1. He's weak and can't do the hard things when they need to be done
2. He'll allow cowards to back out of certain assignments/jobs
3. He'll give brothers free reign to mess about and not take their assignments seriously
etc etc
So yeah, he needed to kill him. Besides, the brothers of the Night's Watch can't be cowards given their role. They need to be able to hold the line.

I'm just loving the look of the guy beside Jon going:
"Oh ****, he actually went through with that..."
So what are the chances that one of Margeary's giggling handmaidens is Mira Forrester?
I want the character of Roose Bolton to die painfully, but the actor that plays him is great. Every scene with him and Ramsay or with Littlefinger was gold.

I was actually looking at their faces to see if any of them looked like Mira, and there is one that resembles her. But I have a feeling that Mira won't get back into Margaery's good graces.

I actually paused to look at the girls too. I know that they wouldn't actually cast someone to look like Mira or Sera, but I couldn't help myself. That being said, the game did a fantastic job with the styling for those characters because the girls in that scene looked just like Mira and Sera (same outfits, same hairstyles).
I was kind of hoping that they'd give us a throwaway comment from Margaery referencing one of their names, though.

Thats hoping for faaar too much.
I think the blue-colour coded handmaiden that looks a bit like Mira Forrester probably isn't her, seeing as she's seen getting hit on by Pycelle at the Purple Wedding, when the game establishes that she was at the very back of the wedding with the fourteenth-born sons and such.

Did anyone else laugh at Jorah spending his time in a brothel with a Khaleesi themed prostitute?
I just love the look Stannis gives Jon after the beheading of Slynt.
As far as Lannisters go, I can't think of ones that I truly despise. The only bad ones were Tywin, Cersei, Jaime, and Joffrey.
Even then, Tywin is a practical man that simply doesn't pull any punches when he has to do something. Jaime is largely repentant and actively trying to change his views, all while feeling empty inside because he feels that no-one will ever trust or like him anyway due to one action that saved the lives of the people that hate him for it.
In all honesty, actually, only Cersei and Joffrey are the truly bad ones. Otherwise, Lannisters have a tendency to be smug, arrogant, and snobby jerkasses, but they aren't inherently bad. Everything I said about them applies to nearly every other noble house in Westeros.
Jaime started off as douchebag of the show, but he really grew on me halfway.
Bless your stupid, stupid soul Cersei.
You don't need to know about the kingships of Jaehaerys I and Maegor I to know why arming and legally sanctioning fanatics to go forth and punish the "sinners" is a terrible idea. Especially when you're letting them loose on the wealthy and you are the queen.
On an unrelated note, I really hope Sansa won't be a Jeyne Poole. Hopefully, the backing of the Vale will rein in Ramsay. Poor Jeyne didn't have it in the books.

That made me sad.
They brought back the feather Robert left in Lyanna's tomb in the very first episode.
"I've always been afraid"... eugh, effing cockroach. About time somebody did that.
Still, Stannis is not necessarily the best judge of anything. If you can ask "What would Stannis do?" and the answer you get is what you did, it might be time to worry.

I know. He's a decent, strong Hand who's capable of at least holding the land together.
