I almost feel sorry for Tommen. He let rabble dictate to a king where he could and couldn't go. He should have sent troops to seize the High Sparrow by force.

"Well, the most competent, feared man in Westeros died on the crapper, so the precedent for deaths not befitting of the character is kinda there. At least Selmy died with a sword in his hand. :S"|
A **** man who **** on everybody espicially his children died on the shitter. That's EXTREMELY fitting. And, I found Tywinn enteresting but he got what he deserved.
Barristan did not. I wonder why they had Grey Worm stop the throat slitting if theyw ere gonna officially kill him off anyways...
I like Tommen but he is so woefully unprepared to be king.
\The Sand Snakes are horribly acted. I simply can't take them seriously with such dreadfulness. Not intimidating at all. They're also rather cruel - no better than Cersei.
More Sansa... however, I think this is where things start to go dark(er) for her S5 story since there's no Littlefinger to lust... err.. look out for her. L0L

It would be ironic if Tommen ends up dead through some sort of rioting by the Faith Militant, considering Cersei is empowering them.
Gold their crowns, and gold their shrouds. We know it is coming in any case.

With the right training he could actually turn into a great king.
Unfortunately, his mother has other ideas.

I'm not too sure about the Sand Snakes at the moment, honestly. The older one in particular seems to have inherited her father's habit of dramatic monologuing but without the cool monologues that actually felt like they were going somewhere. :S
Well, i read they weren't like this in the books, esp Ellaria. Seems like the directors want the show to stay away from the books, which is kind of shame.

A blatant attack like that from the Faith would be pointless. They'd kill a king and then be killed themselves only to see another one they don't like rise.

And, the new king would probably wipe them out out of fear they'd target him next. Though that could lead toa noher uprising depending on how many people side with the faith millitant.

Religious fanatics aren't exactly known for logic or reason. Angry mobs, even less so.

It was an awfully quick transition from "I will give the faith the means to defend itself." to "Brothels and breweries? Lets go kick their asses and destroy their stuff."

Faith Militant.
True, but now I have this image in my mind of the High Septon five minutes after his meeting with Cersei telling everybody "Okay guys, get to work beating the hell out of the sinners." and a few hours later "Meeting with the king? Screw that, I'm too important."

I've read the books.
The problem with angry mobs is that they are difficult to control. Tommen could end up killed in a riot, even if the High Sparrow doesn't intend it.
I'm not necessarily saying that is how it will definitely play out (though Tommen will definitely die), but it is one possibility of how King Tommen's reign will come to an end. It would also be ironic as Cersei gave the Sparrows power.

Anybody else think that killing a guy who tried to sell you important information maybe isn't a great long-term strategy?
Two things on that front:
1) Technically speaking, he would be/is considered a threat to Dorne. He did just ship the Kingslayer to Dorne for a tidy profit and then looked to sell the information back to the Sand Snakes.
2) The Sand Snakes are known for being pretty hot headed, much like Oberyn himself. I doubt they know the potential back fire of the situation.

With all the f***ed up characters in GoT, it is reassuring to see one with their heart in the right place.

I know, right? Perfect way to alienate people and ruin any potential future gain.
From first impression, the showrunners seem to be going for "WOW BADASSSSS WARRIOR CHICKS ISN'T THAT COOL MAN???" but then they've pretty much done a number on Dorne anyway. I guess we'll see what happens in future but I'm not too optimistic.

If I was Margery I'd go tell the FM about Cercei's escapades with her brother... see how she likes religious fanatics on her ass.
(I wouldn't trust blackmailing her with that threat cause she'd have Margery killed)
