Honestly, I think a lot of this comes down to most things post Storm of Swords sucking. So far, I actually think Season 5 has been better than its book counterparts, but I definitely feel the same lack of energy as I did while reading Feast and Dance. I'm hoping the writers can better adapt these plots to the big screen than they were handled in the books.

No one else is commenting on the whole Dany going into full tyrant mode with the major family heads?
That seems odd for this forum... ![]()

This season is a lot better than the last book. Clearly the characters not introduced in the series were just filler in the books.
Filler so far, yes. But you don't know how those "filler characters" will play out in the next two books. I am betting you that Euron and Victarion will be pretty damn important. You now since Euron is actually Daario etc.

It's an interesting theory but I don't think you should really be counting it as fact just yet...

Good episode. Sansa kicks butt!
Danny has become a psychopath who ENJOYS murdering people. That's not leadership that's Jeoffry and Ramsay nonsense.
Jon is a TRUE leader.

While I haven't really enjoyed the changes in the show this season, I'm not against this one with Jorah. It could certainly go somewhere interesting and make Jorah an even more desperate man than he was before.
Anyway, I'm glad they kept put the "kill the boy" scene in with Jon. It was one of the pivotal moments for Jon in the books, turning him into the man he is. You could tell by the way he kept on going over the words, "kill the boy", whenever he had to make a hard decision.

Yeah, she had a guy burned to death without a trial or anything. To me it seems like show Dany is now acting more dumb than book Dany.

I've got a bit of a chill for the Mannis. Granted, I don't think they're just going to out and stamp him out, but I'm legit worried now about how things will turn out for him.
Everyone's saying it looks like the odds are in his favour when he goes against the Boltons.
Which of course means he's ****ing screwed.

I wonder if we'll find out he had the hots for Rhaegar. Dat silver hair.Guess they took the whole debacle of Jon Connington and put it on Jorah Mormont instead.

Probably not considering Jorah is in love with Dany, and prior to that had fallen in love with another woman who was a gold digger that burned him.
While it appears they've folded at least one aspect of Jon Connington (greyscale) into Jorah, the character's romantic interests seem to be taken from book Jorah.
Speaking of greyscale...
I hope Jorah lasts long enough to die heroically in battle against the White Walkers in the final season. He is one of my favorite characters, so I'm hoping he isn't going to die this season.
