At what point did I post anything that would lead you to this conclusion?

Quote me and explain yourself.

I like villians as well. However, it matters a great deal to me as to what crimes or wrongs they're committing. Beatings, murder, and torture are fine. Rape, slavery, and killing children (depends) is too far for me.

He went to that temple for the sole purpose of killing those children and it turned me off of him. They are no threat and they've you no wrong but you do it anyway because some old guy who was your enemy for most of your life told you to?

He didn't went into that temple just to kill those children. He killed every jedi in his path.

Its just that they only showed the children for shock value.

Your previous post said that you don't mind murder unless it happens to children. Which means you don't mind the murder of adults. Otherwise you would contradict yourself.

People have their reasons for liking Vader. I just have a hard time seeing past that Jedi temple slaughter. I didn't like that he murdered those desert alien people who im sure had kids with them but I was able to look past it and chalk it up as some horrible regrettable action that he took in a fit of rage. But he went to that temple for the sole purpose of killing those children and it turned me off of him. They are no threat and they've you no wrong but you do it anyway because some old guy who was your enemy for most of your life told you to?

**** you Vader.

Well the prequels paint Skywalker as an unlikable character anyway for dozens or other reasons beyond killing sand people in a fit of rage over his dead mother. The Clone Wars animated series portrayed him much better.

What I find curious is that you say you don't like that he killed people who were no threat and did no wrong to him but have only applied to children so far. You specifically say it's the murder of children, slavery, or rape that you hate which suggests to me that if Vader cut down a bunch of defenseless adults that would have been fine.

Also, Palpatine was Skywalker's friend for most of his life. I'd argue that the switch to the dark side was absurdly quick, but that mostly comes down to poor writing for the prequel movies. That and alignment switches seem to be very common and quick in the Star Wars universe in general.

That and he was wiping out all of the Jedi that he could find, not just the children. The ultimate goal of the Sith was to completely eradicate the Jedi Order from the galaxy.

The only good Tusken Raider is a dead Tusken Raider. I cheered when Anakin slaughtered those pigs.

Well, dragon's breath beats lightsaber.

Although playing favourites in anything written by GRRM is a dangerous game to play =P

Good work.

Killing "innocents" is bad but it won't turn me off of a villian. Ashur from Spartacus killed a lot of people but he was still by far my favorite character.

When Vader came upon the children he should have walked away. Since all the adults are dead it's mission accomplished right? The children are still in training and are not yet Jedi. They would likely never become Jedi either since the whole order is being wiped out. They would merely live their lives as Force sensitives. In fact, it would have been a good idea to take them and train them in the ways of the Sith. But Vader simply killed them instead. So I dropped him.

Ha ha, we all saw the honest game trailer.

Or at least I did, and I'm now hoping other people did too, so somebody gets that reference.

In all fairness they did leave at least two force sensitive children alive.

and those children did play a pretty significant role in bringing down the empire.

Anakin seemed pretty intelligent and capable in the cartoon and then all of a sudden BOOM Dark Side! BOOM child murderer! Cue Imperial March!

We need a gif compilation of Palpatine using force lightning on the dragons now.

Vader didn't have Malachor V at his disposal at the time.

Though the whole nonsense with Sith only dealing in absolutes is just another case of George Lucas' bad writing, looking past the fact that Vader had layers as a villain in the original trilogy.

But anyway, Game of Thrones -- In regards to Jorah Mormont basically taking over the whole point of Connington's purpose in the books beckons this feeling I've been having for a while. Game of Thrones is going to try too hard to be overtly melodramatic and irritating like the Walking Dead. I miss the days of HBO's The Wire or The Sopranos, where I felt the drama was kept at a steady pace.

Its because of this hype regarding characters never beign safe. They are now just killed off because people want to see characters die.

Which completely misses the whole point. The point with character deaths in GoT was about showing no one is protected by plot armor. Make stupid decisions and you will pay the price.

But ever since the Red Wedding people have gotten such a hard-on for gory character deaths, the creators decide to kill off characters for lulz and drama.

Jorah might not die swiftly. Greyscale is loosely inspired by leprosy, except of course for the part where it eventually turns people into insane zombies. Even though he is infected he could potentially last into next season.

Jorah Mormont is one of your favorite characters? Are you serious? He sold people into slavery ffs! Or is that alright with you? Maybe it's the reason why you like him in the first place...

I'm fine with it. Slavery is the best fit for some people.

she started the season in the negatives, but she just keeps going lower, like its some twisted game of limbo

"I'm gonna kick out my advisor!"

"I'm gonna trample over the traditions of the people I JUST CONQUERED!"

"I'm gonna lock up my dragons so no one gets hurt, until I want to FEED PEOPLE TO THEM INCLUDING ONE OF MY VOCAL SUPPORTERS!"

even the Western Roman Empire wouldn't want her as a ruler

The organist at Madison Square Gardens played the intro to GoT during the Rangers game last night, I found it amusing.

Apparently its pretty common.
