I don't believe the Queen generally has the ability to command the Guard. Cersei was in the unique position of being Queen Regent and I'm fairly sure that most of the KG are (or were) her stooges anyway. Particularly Trant. She mostly has/had Lannister guards surrounding her though. IIRC they were around during the infamous Littlefinger scene from seasons past. "Power is power," and all that.

SPEAKING OF CONTINUITY ISSUES THOUGH.

In the season where Dany gets control of The Unsullied, it is stated that they come equipped with both spears and also short swords for close contact. One of the Wise Masters uses said short sword to cut the nipple off one of The Unsullied.

When they get ambushed by The Sons of the Harpy (and essentially get beat down like chumps with the exception of Grey Worm) they're all fighting with their spears. Their short swords are nowhere to be seen.

That's my piece of retroactive bitchin.

Nice catch.

Arya's hit list has gotten shorter too. She doesn't want to kill Illyn Payne, the man who chopped her father's head off, anymore. The Red Woman, who stole Gendry, got removed from the list for no good reason. Tywin is off the list, even though Arya doesn't know he is already dead. The Mountain is still on the list, even though he "died" before Tywin.

If it had happened to Cersei when she was queen, do you think she would have ordered the King's Guards to do something about it? I bet you she would have. And I bet they would have listened. The King's Guards have been used for law-breaking all through the series.

It wasn't a legal arrest. Olly was Loras squire. His job entails that he has seen Loras naked more than once. He armours him, dresses him, probably tends wounds, and might even be washing the fellow. Him knowing Loras having a birthmark isn't evidence of anything, given his job.

If it had happened to Cersei while she was Queen yeah she would've called for help. And the Kingsguard would have done *expletive* all for her because The King would've been there as well. Little reminder that its the "Kings" guard. King holds priority as to their loyalties.

Besides the fact Cersei thinks she's stronger than she actually is. Margaery on the other hand didn't bother asking the guard, she went straight to Tommen who did nothing because he cracks under pressure.

"It is like she is stagnant while Arya is the one that is doing something and being more productive"

More productive how? Being a victim of child abuse? L0L

The ending scene was hard to watch and made worse by it being Sansa.

Though in truth, Jayne Pool had it FAR worse in the books. Everyone thinks D&D went too far but they actually toned it down quite a bit, when you consider the source material.

I thought it was a great scene, with all three of them knocking it out of the park.

Yeah it's been toned down but it's still hard to watch. Probably harder than anything else in the show so far if I'm being honest.

On a side note I think the actor for Theon, Alfie Allen, is doing a great job. He really shows how tormented theon is without saying anything.

Totally agree. He has done great job as Theon.

I personally like where they're going with Jorah and Tyrion. They seem to be respecting eachother more than they did in the books, which is preferable to both of them just moping IMO. The scene Jorah finds out about his Dad was good. Reminds you how interconnected all the stories are.

I also liked that scene with littlefinger. I knew there was no way he would be truly backing Stannis.

Don't put your money on him backing the Lannisters. Littlefinger is for Littlefinger, first, last and always.

oh yeah, that's what I mean. He probably means to take the north, start a war between the Lannisters and Tyrells and then finish off whoever remains between those two. Or something like that.

Balish won't be satisfied untill he controls everything there is to control .

Not rape. What he did was consummate the marriage like a pig. Something that happened frequently with arranged marriage. Woman were considered trash just good enough to warm a guy ****.

Made harder by the fact that it was done to an actress we have been watching since she was 14 years old. How on earth do they think this is acceptable television?

She's not 14 anymore, and it would be silly to treat the actress as if she was a child forever in terms of what scenes she can and cannot do just because she was young when she started on the show years ago.

The scene was very hard to watch and invoked a very visceral reaction, as it should have. But unacceptable? Nah.

Yes the age that a character enters the cast of a show does impact on what is acceptable for her to do in the show.

They have known this girl since she was barely a teenager she isn't even out of her teen years yet. Even thinking up a scene like this for her is totally messed up.

If it had been in the books they might have had some justification but it's not. She goes nowhere near Ramsey in the books.

Edited for wrong grammar.

And? That kind of argument reminds me of possesive brothers and dads who dont want to see their sister/daughter with a boyfriend because they saw her grow up.

They don't want to see them raped anyway. I don't want to see a girl I have watched grow up getting raped.

If I had to guess, his actual motivation is chaos. He wants to utterly destroy the system of the Game. I think he's a nihilist who wants to see the world burn for the most part. I think his plan is to bring down every major house in Westeros, as well as the feudal system it entails.

The character got raped, not the actress. Hell the actress is quoted saying that she loves the scene because of how dark it is and the emotions it evokes from viewers.

Anyone complaining about a woman getting forcibly taken the wedding night after her forced marriage needs to assess if they can handle Mature content.

I'm not saying that as a dig - but people need to realize that turning 18 does not instantly make you capable of handling dark topics and being able to separate them as fiction from reality.

Being sickened by rape is nothing to do with not being mature. If anything not being sickened by rape shows a complete lack of compassion.
