Oh I do want to see how this great king Petyr is going to save the kingdom and his throne from getting destroyed by the White Walkers. Talk them out of it?

I know they're dead but they weren't the only fighters/leaders in the land.
They were the best.
Everyone else would be sub-par at best.

What if Cersei's prophecy about being replaced wasn't about Marjorie, but about Sansa instead? That's an interesting thought.

What was the prophecy again? She'd have a few kids but they wouldn't be the King's, she'd outlive all of them, and she'd be replaced by someone far better than her?

Pretty much. Of course the last bit doesn't really narrow down the list of candidates.

That there would be a new queen who was more beautiful and more loved, I believe was the wording. I don't think it was just "better."

"Aye. Queen you shall be... until there comes another, younger and more beautiful, to cast you down and take all that you hold dear."
And on her children:
"Oh, aye. Six-and-ten for him, and three for you. Gold shall be their crowns and gold their shrouds, she said. And when your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you."

Guys, I hate to burst your bubble but the prophecy refers to Dany
just like how she thinks the Valonqar is Tyrion but its going to be Jaime

Prophecy is a tricky beast. Valonqar may mean "little brother" but it doesn't mean it's talking about CERSEI'S brother. Maybe it means Littlefinger, who has little in his name and was like a brother to the Starks. Maybe it means Stannis, who was the little brother to Robert Baratheon.Guys, I hate to burst your bubble but the prophecy refers to Dany

Maybe it means that Tommen, the little brother of Joffrey, will be the one to kill his mom. That would actually be fairly appropriate, given how much Cersei says she would do anything for her children. A long shot, sure... but that's why prophecy is usually worthless. It never applies like you think it will.
And Dany isn't going to be queen of snot. Sorry, she's just not even one step closer to having an army capable of fighting in Westeros after five of seven books.

Doesn't mean they can't make it happen in the show, especially since they've blown through the current source material.

Fair enough. Still, even in the show, she doesn't have a single ship to cross the sea and her troops are being murdered in the streets of a city that she has no interest in ruling long term. She has made no attempt to learn about anything going on in Westeros, a nation ten times larger than the area she can barely control now. She is getting involved in a political marriage to broker power in one backwards city when she will have to contend with the conflicting alliances of dozens of houses significantly more powerful.
She's playing SimCity, not CK2.

Why would anyone even prefer Westeros to Essos, it's always so sunny and lovely in Essos while Westeros is a zombie-infested snowy hellhole for the most part. Daenerys would be smart to stay there.

Dany is going to make it to Westeros eventually, both int he books and the TV series, because dragons. They are practically guaranteed to play some role in the defeat of the White Walkers/Others even if Dany never sits the Iron Throne. Also in the books that prophecy about the mummer's dragon places her in Westeros if Aegon/Young Gryff is that mummer's dragon. (likely, IMO)
I'm leaning towards either Dany dying at some point in Westeros but surviving long enough to meet Jon (who inherits the dragons), or Jon and Dany go full Targaryen and wed. 5 Gold Dragons says Jon ends up becoming a dragon rider either way. I think Tyrion is going to be the third one.
Also I bet the king of the White Walkers will be riding an ice dragon when they finally invade.

What a joke.

Well I finally watched episode 7 and I actually quite liked it.
It's good to see Stannis telling Melisandre to get the **** out I just hopes he stays strong.
I'm not surprised in the least that Jorah and Tyrion meet up with Dany in spite of the books. It could be quite interesting, gets Tyrion straight into the action as opposed to all the dilly-dallying he did in the books.
And of course Cerceii finally gets taken down. Long time coming. Good ending.
And there was finally a scene with the sand snakes that I liked. Yay!

No Brandon Stark is going to control the dragons, that's what the old man (who I think is Bran the Builder) meant when he told him he was going to teach him to fly.

So did anyone get a distinct World War Z vibe out of the end of tonight's episode?
Also I can't be the only one that was rooting for the Giant to survive, right?
