Now what if Bran is then able to command a dragon from Dany and then use it to create Valyrian steel weapons?

Because I doubt those dragons will listen otherwise.

In either case I'm almost certain he is going to warg a dragon at some point.

If not Dany's, than an ice dragon.

What would an ice dragon's use be in the battle against the white walkers? Would an ice dragon be on the white walker's side or the side of the Westerosi armies? Would one of Dany's dragons if killed come back as a Dragon of Ice if it was revived by the white walkers?

I don't think enough is known about them to say.

Well, a Warg'd animal is on the side of whoever is Warging it. And I think despite needing fire or dragonstone to kill white walkers, the scene where the giant literary crushed a few just by stepping on them shows that they can be stopped by overwhelming brute force as well. And an ice dragon can provide that.

No idea about the zombie dragon thing, though.

I actually like Dany's chances now that she has Tyrion, BTW.

It'd be crazy as *expletive* if Drogon, Viserion, or Rhaegon got killed and turned into an Undead Ice Dragon. That'd have terrifying consequences.

George RR Martin wrote a children's book called The Ice Dragon which is confirmed by publishers to exist within the same universe as A Song of Ice and Fire. The story sounds sort of like the legends people like Old Nan might tell:

The story is about a little girl Adara who is born in the long winter. During which the worst freeze had taken place that anyone could remember. Her mother died giving birth to her. Adara loves the winter and feels attracted to the cold. She prefers to play with snow and ice and ice lizards. Her skin is always cold to the touch. She feels that the ice dragon had always been in her life. When she is four years old she touches the ice dragon for the first time. She rode upon its broad, chilled back for the first time in her fifth year. The people of her town fear the ice dragon. It is said that it is a creature of legend and that no man has ever tamed one. When it flies overhead, it leaves a desolate cold and frozen land. But Adara is not afraid of the ice dragon, for she is a winter child. When she is seven the fiery dragons from the North come and swoop down upon the peaceful farm that is Adara's home. She and her ice dragon fly towards them and the ice dragon fights the other dragons in order to protect Adara and her family. The ice dragon defeats the fire dragons, but afterwards the ice dragon is nowhere to be seen. Only a pond that had never been there before, a small quiet pool where the water is very cold. After the disappearance of the ice dragon the cold leaves Adara. She is then finally able to smile, laugh and weep like other little girls.

The final episode of the Telltale series is called The Ice Dragon too as it happens.

Wow, this recent episode was great! Never thought it would impress me in such a fashion! They certainly are making Ion Snow more of a badass with each episode, haha!

R + L = J isn't really a "spoiler" and this guy really shouldn't pose like this is his theory when it has traces back to Internet message boards from when the books came out in the late 90's... but a good video, nonetheless.

I really, really hope the "R + L = J" theory comes to fruition. That would be my favorite moment of the entire series.

The giant was killing members of the undead army, not white walkers. The only Walker killed was the one Jon Snow got with Longclaw.

If the theory is right, would that mean Jon Snow is Dragonborn?

I still have a feeling physics would do its job pretty well if an ice dragon scooped up a White Walker, crushed it in its jaws and swallowed it into its stomach.

which kind? the physics that would break the neck of something that big in the air pulling that many G's whilst plucking something that weighed as much as an elephant? Or the physics involved in keeping large creatures in general from collapsing due to their sheer size?

I think since dragons and White Walkers are polar opposites in terms of their general abilities, I don't think they could re-animate them simply because it seems like they use ice magic (if that makes sense)

Think of it as a balance, White Walkers can't appear without dragons appearing and vice versa. They counter each other, so they balance each other.

We're not sure of the affect dragonbone or dragonteeth has on Walkers, so maybe they'd just die anyway.

In the books fire is meant to disdain Walkers, even though the show ignored that completely, I think dragonfire would melt them, being the hottest substance on earth. Personally I think the Walkers use ice magic as a form of preservation, because look at the Night's King and then at the normal Walker, they're very different looking, since the Night's King looks smooth, while the other has folded skin sorta kinda, so maybe since the Night's king can turn babies into the semi-immortal Walkers, maybe he can preserve himself better than the others.

People who just watch the show are behind on everything, naturally. No fault of theirs. To them R+L=J is a huge bombshell theory but to us book readers its an old theory that we talked about before Game of Thrones was even thought about for HBO. R+L=J is an A Song of Ice and Fire theory, not a Game of Thrones theory.

But I wouldn't mention that to too many folks. I've seen a lot of people in other places lately basically say, "*expletive* the book readers". Which is hilarious to me since without those of us who read ASOIAF back in the day there wouldn't be a GoT on HBO.
