Yes you can, I've watched some crazy Russians on youtube jump off 5 story buildings into piles of snow. Very doable.

Said piles were prepared well enough in advance to be quite deep. This is literally on the fly.

It's just a terribly executed concept at this point.

All in all, I think the consensus over the internet is that this episode proved that the books really are better than the show. This was just a bad season.

at least we had that walker fight.

Was it just me, or did the Drone arc mostly feel kind of like a pointless use of screentime if Vivienne was just going to kill Myrcella anyway.

It was pointless. I'm sure it was all needed to 1) introduce new and interesting characters (cough cough), and 2) fulfill contractual obligations for the screentime for Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Jerome Flynn.

Nothing was accomplished.

Aside from the shock value tacked on, what they did also allows them to quickly and cheaply shove this storyline into a few episodes. The whole thing about him getting hill tribes and lots of northerners and giving back lands taken by the Boltons would have to be something the writers accounted for much earlier. They just rushed this thing out to get it over with.

The thing is is that he has a very good chance of winning the battle of Winterfell in the books too. It looks like he just might, actually. So lets say he does that in the books. That would be one tremendous deviation the show just did.

For the first time im genuinely rooting for cersei. Shes horrible but the walk wasnt justice. No mercy but no cruelty is my motto. What an odd turn of events.

I feel sorry for Stannis fans. Well the extent that they felt they had to defend his actions in the show too but then that's a task some of y'all took on for yourselves even though you didn't have to.

Burn your daughter = lose half your army. How's that for cause and effect?

10 sovereigns says Jorah sniffs the ground where Dany was taken and points like an Irish setter.

And licks it.

according to the books, what happens from here? Arya is blind, Dany is a prisoner, Jaime's daughter got snogged and the Watch are a bunch of assholes. I really want to say it cant get any worse, but I know GoT is a show where everything cant get better.

I wonder how many viewers HBO is going to lose with Jon.

Will they actually lose any, or will people come back for more torture?

It had to be on the fly. Theon had just gone Darth Vader on Ramsay's mistress (whose name escapes me at the moment) and Ramsay was on his way back from the battle. Theon and Sansa didn't exactly have time to plot their escape or leave through the main gate. They were aware of the risk they were taking by jumping, though, considering they held hands before they took the plunge.

Unless you're a Dany Sue fan, which the writers are blatantly writing with the expectation that you are.

It's all going to get worse from here probably.

I'll still watch the show even if Jon has been snuffed out for good (which I still don't believe), but my emotional investment would be gone after that and Stannis being written into a bumbling fool. Jaime's pretty much the only main character left I'd consider one of my favorites, and who knows how long he's going to last.

see, with all this dany sue comments Ive started to notice a pattern in Martin's writing. Whenever he raises up a character, they always inevitably get slaughtered. From Ned, to Snow, going by this pattern I fully expect the dwarf to die at some point. Hes been getting too many brownie points with the audience.

The fact that people are calling dany a mary sue makes me think that the writers are intentionally setting her up for a big fall. Perhaps her pedo stalker ends up killing her according to the new fan theory. As to why? Lets wait and see.

You know, you can always count on a Stark to die a hero labeled a coward. It must be genetics or something.

Tyrion is apparently Martin's favorite character so he has the highest chance of surviving

99 percent of the Stannis fans were rooting for him because of book-Stannis. Fanfiction Stannis, on the other hand, just got dumber and dumber this season. Got what he deserved, I suppose. A death to the biggest Mary-Sue on the show.

With the way the show's progressing, it seems like the only characters who will be left standing by series' end will be Ramsay and the Night's King.

The show ends up essentially where the books are at now. There are differences in almost every aspect though. Jaime is nowhere Dorne, the Watch situation leading up to Jon's shanking was different, the spirit and depth of the whole Stannis/Bolton confrontation is completely absent and stripped down to a series of "OMGSHOCKING" moments.

Regarding Arya...
