One thing I've always wondered, though. What does GRRM think the appeal of the Wall is without Snow there? Maybe he just wants us to watch the rest of the Watch get massacred in the most drawn out and depressing way possible.

Well, not that it would change Martin's mind, but I guess that could be another point in favor of Jon's survival: who would care about the Wall without him?  :P

Dolorous Edd would need to become a major POV character. Last cool person on the Wall.

Though Davos is there too.

Eh, either that or Alliser will become another POV character. Then we can see him a sympathetic light before the White Walkers massacre him.

Will Davos join the Watch? He seems to be fresh out of options at this point.

I don't really see how that angle could work anymore, though. The sacrifice isn't there for Jon, and no one likes Mel, lol.

(unless you do, if so sorry for being dismissive)

Stannis sent him to find Rickon in the books. To put a Stark in charge at Winterfell. I guess the show writers didn't think that was interesting.

Talking about Alliser Thorne, I just realised he was sent to the Wall for Targaryen loyalties, and chances are he just killed one of the last Targaryens.

Irrelevant to the TV show. Didn't happen.

Oh, you're one of those. Alrighty then.

Who says he's planning to have a Wall without Jon Snow?

Shireen is at the Wall too.

There is the possibility that the books will play out different than the series, that is true. Though, I'm of the mind that the Snow has fallen, and Azor Azhai is just a huge red herring. It would be neat if Davos joined though. That way we can see what happens there through the eyes of a sympathetic character. I think Stoneheart would make Snow coming back a little bit too much "been there, done that" for Martin's tastes. He isn't exactly writing this story to make people happy.

My thought's on how things will start at the beginning of WoW/Season 6

> Stannis' army revives, providing the first major White Walker force outside of the Wall.

> The brothers burn Jon's body, closing the book on his storyline.

> Daario and Jorah go on a Solid Snake mission

> War between Braavos and the Lannisters

> ???? for the Tyrells

> Winter truly begins after the Boltons and the Watch get devastated

Jon can warg in the books. When he gets stabbed he wargs into Snow, who s on the other side of the wall at that point. On the show Snow is at the wall, protecting Sam instead of Jon.

Just had a thought. Did Stannis sacrifice of Shireen cause Jon's death?

Meli prayed for it and then the Snow went away. Everywhere.

Melted everywhere except for that spot Theon and Sansa jumped down onto.

The NY Times had notoriously terrible reviews of Game of Thrones in its early days, but they've got this right.

As with 'Lost,' there may be a blueprint, but it’s not looking very sound.

The circumstances of the two shows are different, of course, with Mr. Martin’s unfinished series of novels serving as both source and millstone for the “Game of Thrones” writers. But the pattern has been similar, and the escalating series of shocks in the season finale was a prime example of substituting sensation for imagination, busyness for drama.

Martin has publicly worried that he'll end up pulling a Lost, but I think the TV show will end up making him look good in comparison even if he does flounder.

I'm a bit confused about what show Melisandre is going to be doing next.  She's at the Wall.  She has no allies there and her whole plan up until this point was based on Stannis who just likely got offer.  Word is bound to get back to the Wall about her sacrifice of Shireen (I'm sure at least one of deserters rode to the Wall given how close it must have been since both Davos and Melisandre got there with no problems).  That will ****** Davos off.  What moves does she have?  I mean, I know people are convinced she's going to resurrect Jon, but if that doesn't happen (basically if Kit's interview is truthful), then what is next for her?

Probably a brutal death. Even if she resurrects Jon.

That would explain why they have the exact same hair...

That and the fact that Reeds and Starks have ancestral ties. One of those. Probably the one that seems the least likely.

I have so many problems with this finale, and the S5 as a whole. There were cool things, sure, but also some really bad decisions. I just watched Ep10, and I still have to process all the madness and stupidity.

One thing I'm already sure of though: if Jaime doesn't turn the ship around immediately to beat that extraordinarily stupid ****** to death with his golden hand I just might quit the show.

Y'know I wonder where Theon and Sansa are going to run to now anyway.
