You need to let Jon go, Snook. There are other Jesi out there to fight the Others.

The actor was fantastic. The show runners have lost it completely, though. Season 1-3 were great. But after that they figured they were better writers than GRRM, and they screwed up. At this point they have gone so far they can't even repair anything.

Season 6 will be about the adventures of Theon and Sansa, as they flee from Ramsey. Ramsey will be chasing them with dogs, of course. And kill off people Theon and Sansa encounter. Need Ramsey for shock value.

Ramsey? *eyetwitch

Called it. I said this show was turning into a train wreck when they killed off Barristan Selmy. It had its problems before, but the writers were at least following a vague outline of the books, now, it's like watching a pair of idiots stoned out of their mind write a script wearing hipster glasses. Predictably, it's a ****** mess.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't still enjoy the show, but yeah, the deviation is going too far. I don't mind some changes, I've even enjoyed one or two of them, but they really are going mental and I don't even know why they're altering half the things they are. I guess they've got certain time constraints, yet if the seasons were a little longer maybe they could do more plotlines a little more justice. Because Dorne was a bloody mess. 3 more episodes might have made this season much better.

I mean, I don't want to complain too much, because it's still a good show. It just hasn't wowed me like it did in earlier seasons and their overzealous editing isn't helping. Are they just not going to bother with the Ironborn, Doran's plans, etc, or what?

I'm not holding my breath but this could all just be a ploy to trick the viewers?

As long as my homeboy Hodor is still OK though I'll keep watching.

I'm becoming more and more inclined to believe the theory that he's actually dead, and we'll find out about him being the Prince that was Promised, Azor Ahai, so on so on posthumously

Then everyone will let out a resounding 'f*ck.'

It would be such a disgustingly terrible twist of fate.

And yet fitting.

At least I got Allister and Olly's faces when they see how fucked they are to look forward to.

Jon had to die because if any of those things were true, he'd have a better claim than Dany to the throne. So, he had to be taken care of. Makes sense.

It would be bad writing tho.

His story and character are not done yet.

And you know.

There is a lady right where he is.

That can bring people back to life.

Maybe I'm remembering things, but I seem to remember there was a scene earlier between Mel and Thoros that made it seem as if Mel isn't quite as adept at that little trick as Thoros is.

He learned it, or really just could do it, right after he lost his faith.

Mel just lost her faith.

Not that hard to do the math here.

Stannis got the bad ending. He skipped the side quests and went straight into the story quest. You never do that. Dany, on the other hand, is doing the smart thing by doing the filler quests. Just look at all the romanceable companions she has now.

It helps that Dany Sue got the "Muh Dragunz" Pre-order bonus coupled with the "Dresses of Absolute Sueness" mini-dlc.

I guess RNG just hates Jon then. Maybe if he efficiently leveled and bought the armor dlc instead of the hair dlc, he would have been able to shrug off all those stabbings.

He's got that nasty "Raised by Ned" debuff.

He probably would have pulled through if he bothered to summon Ghost as a companion so he could tank some damage for him.

Ghost was busy on a crew mission I'm afraid.

Jon's gotta grind supplies for the Watch somehow.

Guys, if he'd just sent out some gifts to his vassals and toosed around some honorary titles he'd have been fine.

Stannis though had to deal with the troops from the Holy Order of the North the infamous "Shirtless Men" those heavy cavalry charges can wreck even really strong stacks.
