Nope but someone else might have pointed it out. Loras mom, for instance. Who is being portrayed as sharp as a razor.
Apparently the writers aren't that sharp.

That "trial" where Loras got taken was just dumb. The evidence was that a fellow who has been his squire for a year had seen him naked. It is his job to dress the guy in armour, clean wounds and whatever. Odds are he had seen the fellow naked 100 times just by doing his job.
That whole Loras thing wasn't even in the books as I recall. Magaery was on trial for treason after Cersei spread rumors that she was sleeping around on Tommen. Which is treason against the king.
Which ended up backfiring spectacularly on her.
Well, unless I was one of those fanatics. Taking her away for reasons unknown...
You would be right to try. I, however would be legally and morally obligated to stop you.

Yup. Interesting thing is that apparently Mergeary WAS sleeping around.
And no, Loras was not on trial. He joined the Kingsguard (after Renly died he vowed celibacy, because he truly loved him) and was sent by Cersei to capture Stannis' fortress - he was burned with boiling oil during the assault, but survived (he is in a really bad shape though).
In general, Loras' character was butchered really badly in the show. In the books he was faithful to Renly even after he died, he concentrated on serving the Kingsguard and tried to teach Tommen jousting (which Cersei disapproved of).
In the series he just forgets Renly and sleeps with some random guy - what's worse, is that he was mostly showed naked with said random dude, than as a young, brave and honorable (as one of the few in the realms) knight.
Which is ironic, because Loras is one of the really few characters, who can unquestionably be considered "good guys" - along with Barristan Selmy and perhaps Jon Snow. But the TV series doesn't show it at all.

The evidence was really weak, though, and most of it fabricated by Cersei. Heck it was so weak Margaery ended up being released into Randyll Tarly's custody pending trial.

Didn't they confirm, she wasn't a virgin?
I may be misremembering something.
"Shame. Shame. Shame."
Season 5 in a nutshell.
No. Its not the same. The only reason Dany is struggling is because she is not willing to do "what must be done" aka killing all the nobles. Stannis would have done it in a heartbeat. The fact that she makes a lot of pauses when it comes to decisions like this is why she is quite different than Stannis.
Anders, Stannis and Loghain do not care about any consequence as long as they reach their goal.
And that is an admirable trait about them. It's whey they progress. It's why the weaker struggle.
If the cause is worthy enough, any means is necessary. The consequences of those means are acceptable. Because the collective consequence of those means is less than the singular consequence of that goal not being fulfilled.
Yeah, Loras is up there with Stannis and Littlefinger for worst book to show transition.

They only confirmed that her hymen was broken. Virgin or not was still up for debate because it can actually break through horseback riding, just as Margaery claimed.

And Daenerys.
It's presented in a slightly different way of course, but you can tell that she's a writer's pet here.
Also, Varys.

And Cerssei's POV thoughts implied that Margaery was likely telling the truth.

His actor played him a bit douchy and pretentious but I don't think there's anything really objectionable about Loras in the show. I liked his interaction with Sansa and get the feeling she would've been happy if that plan had worked, even if he swings the other way (who's plan was that again?). But I don't see "staying faithful" as better or worse than moving on. Personal preference and all.

It was Margaery's plan to marry her to Loras. It may have been the nice thing to do, but it's also heavily implied that the underlying reason is that the marriage would give the Tyrells the best claim to the North should Robb happen to die.
On the whole though the only character change that has really bothered me has been Stannis. Some things were cool like his leading the attack on Kings Landing, and Stephen Dillane's acting is in my opinion very enjoyable. Maybe it's because I marathoned the books, but I think the show does a disservice to both his and Melisandre's nuances and instead wants them to be blind zealots along with the Ironborn and the High Septon. Come to think of it, the only religious leader in the show shown in a sympathetic light is the nihilist that kills people for a living.
I really like Loras, he honestly needs more screen time.
She also didn't know that the nobles are better warriors than Barristan and the Unsullied, I guess.
To be fair to her, that's clearly not a mistake we can really fault her for since apparently most fans made the same one.
I just realized this was the only season that didn't end with something huge/uplifting/crazy. I mean, season 1 had the dragons, season 2 had the huge friggin undead horde, season 3 had Dany's crowdsurfing, season 4 had Arya sailing into the sunset with a particularly uplifting version of the main theme blaring in the background...while season 5 just had Jon bleeding out.
Huh.
Isn't that the craziest thing of all?
In a sense maybe. Very different feel from all the other season's endings though.
IMO none of the season finales have come close to season 2's tbh.
"Three blasts..." *everyone sh*ts themselves*

I found it rather uplifting! It gives me hope that I don't have to watch Kit Harington "act" anymore! ![]()
boo
even if I agreed his beautiful locks are all he needs

Thank god.
Now he can come back to life.
How did we go from scenes like this to "You want a good girl but you need a bad p*ssy." Seriously neither were in the books, but my god the writing drop
