He seems to be supportive of games, art and obviously TV. He doesn't like fanfiction. Apparently he sees that as infringing on his particular milieu.

I don't mean that snidely, BTW. It's his world and his call.

I don't blame him.

Most fanfic is positively embarrassing. It's probably not something he wants his creation associated with.

Personally, if I were some best selling author, I'd be more wary of Hollywood making an unsustainable product than some anonymous internet writer's fanfic.

I think so Mouse, plus Davos wasn't involved in that...

Do you think he would tweet "I'm truly loving what's happening tonight" if they were filming the Red Wedding?

He is probably witnessing the dastardliness of Melisandre. That would be my guess. Carice van Houten (Melisandre) immediately tweeted back: "you can say that again onion knight"

I hope it was the scene on the boat beneath Storm's End.

Oh THAT scene, totally congealed my blood when I read it for the first time!

See, this is why I don't follow these actors on Twitter or keep up with updates on the show. It makes the long wait between seasons ever more painful than it needs to be. XD

Yeah, reading that scene made me go WTF!? in a major way. Wondering how that scene will translate on screen, since it was pretty graphic and strange in its description in the book, as I recall.

And, we have an Ygritte, Scottish actress Rose Leslie who played in Downton Abbey.  Nooow I know why some of the writers were tweeting their like for that miniseries!

Seeing those anachronistic photos of modern folks in GoT land is weird. I'll watch the show and wonder who is standing around off camera now. Maybe I'll even try to spot mistakes. :P

I'm having trouble picturing that guy as Quorin, but in fairness that's exactly where I'm at in the books right now. I have GRRM's description of him fresh in my mind.

For some reason I pictured Quorin being a little younger than that guy looks. Maybe like mid to late 30s. Not a big deal though.

Who is left to cast? Pretty much just Vargo and the Brave Companions, the Reeds and possibly "Reek," I think.

A game of thrones: Genesis got a 6.0 review from IGN.  I guess I wasn't really expecting much out of the game, to bad I would of liked to play a Game of Thrones video game.

I'm not expecting much but I wouldn't dismiss it because of one IGN review.

It sounds like his primary complaint was that the game was too challenging and the complexity of choice was overwhelming.

These seem like positive qualities to me.

He did say the combat was bad, and the add costs to each unit you purchase is reminescent of battle realms to me where they add extra time to each unit you get to slow down your war efforts. That's a system I do not enjoy. Instead of time each additional unit costs more money then the previous is just another way of slowing down how quickly you accumulate units.

I'm more familiar with turn-based strategy than RTS games, but that does sound a bit odd.

I certainly wish they offered a downloadable demo on Steam. I suppose I'll have to wait to read a few more reviews and probably some sort of sale price during the holidays.
