It doesn't get old.

Tyrion will more than likely end up being the main character this season in terms of screen time if they follow A Clash of Kings closely.

Robb Stark is going to be one of the main characters as well. He doesn't have a point of view chapter in the book, but in the series we will apparently be seeing Robb doing some of things that were only mentioned after the fact in the book. (Oxcross, the Crag, ect)

Of course Jon and Daenerys will return as main characters also.

By the way the two season 2 teasers from HBO have been awesome. I love that both used great speeches. (Varys' riddle about the sellsword, and Stannis' promise that the lords of the realm will bend the knee to his rightful claim, or he'll destroy them)

Awesome series, so happy aout this new series.

I'm also terribly jealous of the author's writing style - he writes things in an easy fashion, off-handedly getting prosy at you in a way that, if most of us were to attempt it, would be a lot more cheesy and crap.

I don't think he's the best author ever, but his knack with words has had me green with envy before now.

For a split second I thought Melisandre was Felicia Day.

 Wow. I thought the exact same thing. When I scrolled down and read your comment, I was like bam! B)

I'm *really* not feeling Melisandre in that photo at all. I didn't have strong expectations this actress would fit the role, appearance wise, but she is farther off the mark than I thought possible. At least with Brienne I can say close enough.

I'm looking forward to picking this season apart. Is it wrong I'm as excited to see where GoT falls short of its source material as I am to simply enjoy it? Naw.

Appearance wise, not very many of the actors fit how I pictured the characters from the book. Thats definitely the case with what little I've seen of Mel, but so long as the actor can do a decent job of getting the character right, I'll be happy.

Don't get me wrong. If the actress performs convincingly in the role, I will give her due props. I'm a bit whinier here because Melisandre is one of my favorite recurring characters. I recall picking apart an image Addai linked to in this very thread for the same reason. It's Melisandre dammit. The standard *must* be higher. :P

Can't say Melisandre looks anything like how I imagined. (Admittedly I pictured her as Christina Hendricks). Can't say say I'm suprised though as that was common throughout season 1.

Nice to see they uglied up Brienne's actress. She needed it.

I really liked Davos but I would have never believed he had fangirls.

Davos is in one of those images? Guess I had tunnel vision in the opposite direction. >.> I'm indifferent toward him. His chapters are interesting reads, but I've never been excited to come across them. It's especially sad when he's paired with Stannis or Melisandre. Those two steal every scene they're in. Davos can't really compete.

I like Davos. He's a Ned-esque type of PoV (not as hung up about 'honour' tho) and provides a nice counterpoint to Stannis. He's got a good head on his shoulders and it's really easy to empathise with him.

Pretty cool (no pun intended) video from the set shooting in Iceland.

First look at Halfhand too.

In the books didn't Ned want to not go to King's Landing but Catelyn did? Because in the show Catelyn wants Ned to stay but Ned wants to go.

@Nameless - absolutely correct.

In the books, Ned wanted no part of King's Landing, what with all that'd happened there in the past (which I won't detail in case you haven't read). Catelyn insisted, seeing it as an honor, and also being somewhat afraid of refusing Robert - I get the impression she never liked him much.

That's one of those things about the show I just don't understand why they changed it.  Kinda like Littlefinger telling the hound's story to sansa at the joust.

On tumblr someone said at the premiere, the opening credits would be rolling and suddenly a GRRM trollface would appear saying "April Fool's suckers!! You have to wait six more years for season 2!!!"

ASoIaF fans, such martyrs. lol
