Honestly, I'm not agreeing with the poster you called out initially but vilifying Robert in an attempt to justify what Cersei/Joff do is laughable. Though, I suppose a case can be made for Cersei if we're counting the tv show only.
Which is why I didn't respond to him, he sounded like he hasn't seen the show at all. Also, wasn't it hinted at that Cersei sabotaged Robert's tunic? I remember someone examing it after he returned and they did so with quite a bit of suspicion. At any rate, it's ridiculous to assume there wont be any revenge taken on the Lannisters for what they did. Crippling an innocent boy for witnessing the Queen's incestuous relationship and killing the man who was supposed to hold the throne. I've yet to read the books, but I'm fairly certain that little boy's neck is next on the chopping block.

Season 1 BluRay and DVDs are out now. I'm tempted to pick up a BluRay drive for my PC now.
And some of the extras are out on youtube, like some of the auditions and the commentary tracks. Or Arya, Bran and Sansa singing the main theme.

I'll have to watch them all again -- as well as read the books which are in my room -- and partake in discussions on both. And maybe I'll buy the Blu Ray version of Season 1 at some point, when I get enough money.

I wonder- how many people here have watched the show but have not read the novels?
Still hammering my way through the first book.
About 2/3rds of the way through.

I haven't read any of the books, but I love this TV show.
That being said, NOBODY POST SPOILERS ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS IN SEASON 2.

Don't feel bad. I have had them sitting in my pile of "need to read" for years. I only went thru the first and second book on vacation.
I have decided to keep myself inline with the HBO series untill Martin finishes the story.
I learned my leason with The Dark Tower series back in the 80's.

HBO already put it up on youtube a couple days ago.
Its pretty much interviews with some of the actors and the showrunners and recapping season 1 with some bits on season 2.
And if anyone wants to go back over the books without actually reading through them again, Leigh Butler's Read of Ice and Fire is pretty entertaining. She's gone through all of Game of Thrones and is working through A Clash of Kings now.

It was more of a recap of Season 1, with details on the Houses for newcomers, interviews based on several different things, with a little bit of new information for Season 2.
