Eh, for some reason I think it's Baelish who will stop that idiot. Could be wishful thinking though.
How could Baelish stop him? It's not like he has that much power.
He is smart, and manage to manouver Ned very well, but he isn't powerful. Not saying he will never get it though.

Don't know, useless speculation and the people who read the books would probably find it funny as I am likely missing the target completely.

Gah... knowing what will happen this season... and the next one... and the one after that... and indeed the one after that... is a terrible burden.

Very interesting.
I think it's funner not knowing what will happen. Having not read the books, plot twists are genuine surpirises for me.

I think it's nurture more than nature- or lack thereof. He's a young boy who was beaten and neglected by one parent while being smothered and filled with delusions of grandeur by the other, growing up with an awareness of a heavy legacy and being told by his father he won't live up to it, and he's suddenly given an enormous amount of power. We don't get to see them act much, but Tommen and Myrcella are as sweet as can be from outwardly appearances.Aeowyn wrote...
Really? I didn't notice a difference, only madness conceived by incest. A parallel to King Aerys.

They certainly seem to like genuinely Tyrion, unlike everybody else in the family (save maybe Jaime).

Hm yeah, we'll probably see more of them later.
As for what you said Addai, I really think it's a mixture of both. There are certain...signs.. in Joffrey's behaviour (even prior to him getting the throne) that shows that it's not just a lack of nurture.
Edit: In the books I mean.

linkThe second season premiere of HBO’s Game of Thrones delivered series-high ratings Sunday night.
Thrones returned to 3.8 million viewers. That’s up a massive 73 percent from its series debut last year. It also improves upon the show’s previous all-time high, which was just over 3 million viewers. The number means a third season renewal is pretty much guaranteed.

Edit : does anyone else think that they dropped the ball with Davos' casting? Because I thought he was, well, younger.

Yes, but well, I just imagined him looking way more differentCostin_Razvan wrote...
He is a father with two full grown sons no?
On the other hand, great choices for Stannis and Melisandre in my opinion.

This is true. Tumblr reminded me that one of the episodes where Robert beat Joffrey senseless was because the cute little tyke had cut open a mother cat to see the kittens inside. So, yeah.Aeowyn wrote...

Funny that Cersei and Jaime decided to imitate the Targaryens and ended up with their major weakness.

I think Davos has five or six sons and four are old enough to fight. Liam Cunningham is perfect IMO. He does the humble everyman very well.

So...has anybody else seen the second episode?
I thought you were lying but it looks like it did leak. Damn, I can't avoid the temptation. I'm going to have to watch this.
Edit: Apparently the episodes are uploaded early to HBO GO in other countries, so we can expect a new episode a week early all season.

Eh. I felt that when I read the books.
I have had the books for years. Just sitting in my ever growing "need to read pile" but once I was given the DVD set and watched it all within a week I picked up the first book.
Even tho I watched the show first and knew things. How well its written and how its done in this POV led me to still being suprised with the twists.
I think its a rare thing.

Watching the scenes with some certain character, who is related to RW (no, not right wing) makes me so sad all over again.

That was a thought I had when reading the first book. Many of the kids appear older in the show then what they are in the books.
Bran being 8 and Robb Stark and Jon Snow being 16.
It's not a big deal but just a thought I had when reading.
